Your river view hotel looks great. Your train triip from PhnomPenh to Kampot took only 2 hours or 5 hours? In Cambodia, especially in Vietnam and Thailand there are no crocodiles to worry about.

And those Belgian tourists are completely wrong: they do serve alcohol in hotels. Perhaps not in the ones they stayed in as they seem to have gone to mainly Malay majority areas.

The skinny US guy is talking nonsense. Firstly, he looks like a creepy sex tourist, hence the need to be based in Thailand for several decades. Next, he mentions hotel rooms without windows????? I'm not sure what sh*thole cheap prison blocks this guy stays in, but hotel rooms have windows in Malaysia, unless you don't want to be seen (hence why I think he's a sex tourist). The guy is talking about his cheapo hippy experience in Malaysia. It's not at all representative of reality.

But just to be transparent, having no Motorbikes is bad since they take Motorbikes to make you exchange for money, otherwise you'll get -shot- ...

Before the coup, there was no power outage. After the military coup, the power outage becomes normal life again. At some point, there was only approximately 8 hours of electricity for whole days and that is happening in Yangon which is the most important trade city of Myanmar. So you can imagine how much it will be worse in other regions.

The single greatest decision I made in my life was moving there at 26 with no plan and 2,600 in my bank account. Spent 8 1/2 years in Saigon, moved to Japan, and China. Now my plan is to come back and settle down with my Vietnamese girlfriend. I can't say enough about how awesome Vietnam is, the people, the food, the lifestyle. I've never felt more at home anywhere in the world.

People use to go to Sihonoukville because it was like Koh Rong now when it comes to being a lazy beach town. Now that Chinese moved in, people tend to avoid it and go to Koh Rong. Now, it looks like Chinese are planning to go to Koh Rong too. What a shame.

Just want to say a massive thankyou for your Myanmar series . I have learn alot about the country where my dear late step grand father came from. I have many, many memories of the curries and rendangs he cooked for me as a young child. Seeing the food you ate , really brought back those memories and smells. All Burmese are wonderful genuine kind hearted people and don't deserve what is going on. Thankyou. Greetings from Perth Western Australia. Safe travels!
