Today, we’re at The Flying Biscuit Café in The Villages, a must visit breakfast spot at Lake Sumter Landing. Situated on Canal St, adjacent from Consumer Cellular, this Southern-style restaurant known for it’s delicious food and friendly service.
Locals and tourists alike flock to this popular spot, and it's definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. Plus, there's ample parking available at the back of the café.
There’s several seating options outside under the umbrellas. Early Bird Specials are from 7 to 9 am everyday.
Take a seat in their bright and clean bar area or soak in the cheery and colorful ambience, with acryclic artwork adorning the walls. Look at these stunning sunflowers popping against the blue and orange background. And here’s a beautiful field of wildflowers.
Moving on to the menu. The Flying Biscuit Cafe serves breakfast and lunch from 7am to 3pm.
Order their biscuit with cranberry apple butter. Here’s their chicken and waffles with syrup for $12.79.
I had their Freebird Benedict, a mouth-watering combination of a split biscuit topped with crispy buttermilk chicken tenders, two over medium eggs, chicken sausage gravy served with creamy grits for $12.79.
The best part? Our food came out fast and served hot.
But remember, The Flying Biscuit can get pretty busy, especially on weekends, so arriving early will help you avoid the crowds.
