​@DakotaNationRacing hey man can I ask a question? I own a 2016 ram 1500 5.7l single exhaust is my setup with 34" long and 3" wide?

Mines a 17 crew cab short bed, and ya mine was 3” and i cut the filler pipe at 34”. If i were you though, id just crawl under there and get a rough length measurement off your muffler so you dont run into any surprises! It should be 3” still, im just not sure of the length youll need for your truck!

Ya after having it like this for a little bit now, I do notice a little drone every once in a while, but honestly the tires are loud so that’s mostly all i hear, that might be covering some of the extra noise!😂 I purposely just clamped in the pipe so it’ll be easier to pull out that section and get a muffler in there down the road if I decide!

Thanks! Luckily for me, the bags came on the truck when i bought it. But there are a bunch of companies that make rear bags for these trucks, really handy for towing! ill have to crawl under the truck and see what brand they are

Nope, doesn’t throw any codes. I actually am in the middle of recording a head to head video comparing the muffler delete to a Super 44 muffler i just threw on the truck. So hang tight while i wrap up that video if you want to see the difference before you make a decision!

Thanks! The wheels are “American Racing AR201 in Matte Bronze”, and the tires are “bf goodrich all terrain ko2” in 285/70 17.

No i just butted the pipe together and then used my exhaust clamp! I just recently welded it though, i only used the clamps because I didn’t know if i wanted to keep the muffler delete or throw a different muffler in or what!

Thanks!🤘🏼 They are 285/70 17 tires, not sure the specs for the wheels because they came on the truck when i bought it but they are American racing AR201 in matte bronze. It has just a 3.5” front 1.5” rear level kit on it with airbags in the back to help when towing!

Its up to you if you if you want to take that risk or not! I ran it for a few months with just the clamps before welding it up, just to see if i liked the sound or wanted an aftermarket muffler. If those clamps loosen up going down the road then obviously that could be bad, but up to you!

Not sure, TONS of people run straight pipes and I’ve never had and issues on any of my vehicles personally, if it does affect anything i could never tell!

It won’t. It wakes it up a little more but it’s not obnoxious. Resonator delete and muffler delete is when you start getting obnoxious

Exactly^ the muffler delete by itself won’t be super extreme, but if you get rid of the resonator as well then you’ll be getting some drone and extra noise. If you are worried about it being too loud you can always put a different muffler back on! Check out my other video where i added a flowmaster super 44 and did some side by side comparisons and see if that helps you make a decision!🤘🏼

Glad you enjoyed! They are “285/70R17” they came on the truck when i bought it, but since i did the level kit i think ill go up to 35’s when these are worn out!

I ran mine with the clamps for about 3 months and just recently, and after I decided i liked how it sounded i got rid of the clamps and welded it! thats the only reason i didn’t weld it together first, in case i wanted to throw a muffler or something on there! But i love how it sounds as is, good luck wrappin it up!🤙🏼

@@DakotaNationRacing shoot the clearance is so tight, it's really close to the air bags not sure how comfortable I am with it 😶 I cut it at 34 inches and I don't have much free play at all

​@@DakotaNationRacing dang I notice your muffler has a heat shield for the air bags ours must have come with stock air bags I put on air lift air bags 😅 might need to get some exhaust wrap or something

I hit mine with some penetrating oil but they weren’t to bad, if yours are really bad you may have to get creative to get them off and maybe cut them? Hopefully it doesn’t give you to much of a headache!

I used penetrating spray and mine came right off! Are you still having issues with it?

@Dakota Nation Racing I sprayed them both a day ago but 1 came off and the other snapped I used the grinder and cut the original clamp. All good now though just worried about the hanger where muffler was rattle etc.

Hmm that’s weird, mine was basically a straight shot, just clamped right into place! The handful of people ive talked to that did it, didn’t have that problem either!
