Perfect review. And thank you for going into detail about things that noone goes into detail about such as how the brightness compares to other devices and explaining literally everything that many reviewers take for granted (ie: OSD= on screen display).

Great review, thank you - I found some helpful features in there and I'm getting the field case case. . I've had mine for a over a year and my biggest issue was the color of the screen and calibrating it to match what I would see on the camera viewfinder/screen. Once the white balance was WAY off from once I got it back for processing. Any tips at all?

Hello. I have a Sony ZV-E10. In photo and slow motion mode all camera data appears on a monitor. In video mode, the monitor screen does not show shooting data. Do you know what the problem is? Thanks in advance.

good made explanation! I've two things to ask and to mention: 1. sometimes it happens to me, that the monitor turns off with the cam, when not used (save mode), but does not go on again, when the cam is switched on again. then I've to put the kable out and in again to get the hdmi signal again. why? and 2. in the focus assistant I dont get any red dots for infocus parts. but I'm in focus for shure.

Thanks so much for this video Wilson! I have ordered two of these monitors and the focus assist just doesnt seem to work. All I get is a black and white image without any red markings. I have tried it with various devices. Do I need to adjust any settings (apart from pressing f4, obviously) I have the same situation. And my camera is Nikon D750，NEEWER didn't give me any help

I think you should choose different focus color than white, change it to red or blue and you’ll see it. I think it’s in third row on the top of the menu. Good luck.

Hi from Ecuador, South America! Thanks for sharing!! Does this monitor work with a Canon 6D? If so, would you recommend using it with a Ronin -S ?

Hi! It will work, but below is a link to a photo of it on the 90D and the RS 2 to give you an idea of the size in relation to this gimbal. You could mount it on the side of the gimbal so it won't wobble and throw the camera & gimbal off balance. Wilson thanks for replying to me. Would it be to complex for you to explain to me in writing how the procedure and connections I would have to do to make playback through this small external monitor? Even when I try to playback footage on my 32 inch tv that has HDMI inputs connected to my Lumix GH5 I can never get anything that I videotaped to playback, I can only see on my big screen what the camera is seeing, but never any footage that's already been recorded on my camera. I want to purchase one of these 5 or 7 inch monitors but only to playback what I've just shot for about 5 of my crew members to view while we are sitting in a vehicle so we can view what we shot. Can you put up a video that strictly shows what you shot being played back from you camera into the field monitor? I can't afford to purchase something that won't meet my needs and get stuck with it. Also I like your brown hat (not the baseball cap) where can I buy the same exact hat with that stingy brim?

@@WilsonTaylor Unfortunately for me the link that you sent did not open. The info on the hat was very helpful. I can buy a pork pie hat but I'm still in the dark about solving that mode issue. I followed the instructions in the GH5 manual and still can't see any playback off my SD cards. I also watched a few KZfaq uploads. Everyone that reviews these 5 & 7" monitors only show what they are filming but never show in playing back what the footage looks like.

Hey my friend I was just curious I just subscribed to your channel and hit the bell This is kind of what I need because I have diminishing eyesight so let me ask you. Am I going to be able to view my camera settings that come up on the menu through this monitor. That's what I need more than anything because I cannot see the menu on my little 3-in screen or three and a half or whatever it is. I need to view all my camera settings so that I can set my camera up by looking at this monitor to see what's in the menu from the camera can I do that ? Thanks Keith

Hello Wilson thanks for the video. I heard some people saying that the 16/9 standard format is cropped on this 16/10 screen (you can't see a part of your frame) and there is no way to fix it. Can anybody confirms ? It is a key point for me to make my choice. Thank you !

I came here for this too. I just received mine yesterday and the focus assist is just monochromatic and what is in focus is not red. Were you able to figure it out?
