@@harz852 It's a budget monitor so it's not amazing graphics or 8K resolution, but for my purposes of home use and running my music recording software (Abelton Live) it's perfect. Plenty of room and not so large that it's uncomfortable to view and normal distance from face to monitor. I'm really happy with it.

@@harz852 It's been great so far. No problems or issues. It's not the sharpest monitor out there but for the money it's really hard to beat. I use it mostly for music production (Logic and Ableton) so I don't require a ton of graphic processing. It's been pretty easy on the eyes with no noticeable eye fatigue. I'd still recommend it.

I bought a cheap Walmart 43" ONN 4K TV as temp Main display for my base M1 Mini....I thought I would use it for few weeks then "upgrade" to a curved LG or Samsung 4K monitor but it looks and works great. It cost me $214 including tax (plus 16.99 for the USB-C to HDMI cable from AMZ).... I got a nice Military discount thru Apple for the Mini so I have a super fast system on a budget.

Great video I did find the lg 35 inch curved ultrawide qhd 35wn75cb it has usb type c so great for the Mac Also for speakers check out the Kano yu2 I think they would look good on your set up they come in different colors

Good monitor! I got the 29WL500 Version that does not include built in speakers and is full black color from the back. But I think in terms of screen is the same resolution. Thank you for your reviews!

Hi, Great Video 🥳. Did you use any third party tools like SwitchResX to get the display working on the correct resolution, I heard that some ultra wide displays requires tools like this to get the correct refresh rate and resolution

Dear bro.. well done.. liked & supported👍. Assuming you've used both 29" 21:9 and 27" 16:9 screens. Does the 29" widescreen gives off a larger FEEL to it than the standard 27" while tasking and consuming media, although it's got less vertical working space and the difference in surface areas are negligible? Can you please share your experience?

Everything is great about this monitor but the only nitpicky thing I have against it the colors being, Black grey and white with white wires while my whole build is black.

Can i ask you a question please if you have the monitor on vivid mode how are you getting accurate colour grading. My acer monitor has 99% SRGB when I put it on vivid mode it's only 25% SRGB you should never put it on vivid mode for colour grading. I wish you all the luck. Nice video, stay safe. Thanks for sharing your feedback. I don’t really do any advance video color grading. Using it on Vivid I don’t notice anything weird with the colors, every brand of monitor is different that might be why your Acer monitor is like that. Stay safe as well. 👍💪

How is your monitor connected to the M1 Mac Mini, by HDMI? Try going to system preferences > display > select scaled and choose the highest resolution of your monitor. Also go to where it says refresh rate and set it to the highest refresh rate for your monitor. Let me know if that works. 👍

Dear bro.. very well done.. liked & subbed .👍🏻Budget's tight and having a tough time choosing between a Dell 27" 1080p IPS monitor and it's 24" 1080p variant with exact same specs. The 27" incher have gone through a heavy discount and it's now currently on sale for 209$ and the 24" for 170$. I really appreciate the bigger working space on the 27" 1080p but my only concern is the lower 81ppi density. For coding, is the text sharpness still manageable or horrible at 1080p 27" screen if you sit 70-90 cms away? Hard to differentiate in the video. Budget's tight. Ppl share your thoughts.

My 1080p monitor looks really bad on M1 Macbook, mostly about the blurry text, the image is still sharp tho. Did u experience this ???

Which monitor do you have? Try going to system preferences > displays > scaled > select the max resolution of your monitor > go to refresh rate > select the max refresh rate of your monitor and see if that fixes it. 👍💪

Cool vid. Ngl tho i hate the resolution of this monitor. Too small for seeing text on split screen apps. Too wide for reading a single fullscreen app.

planning to buy a LG 29 in ultrawide, may I ask if 2560 x 1080 is good enough for casual productivity (school works) and entertainment (Netflix, KZfaq, etc.)? I am hesitating ‘cuz 1080p might not actually be good due to enlarged pixels..may I know your opinion bout this? :)

How did you solve the problem of mouse imprecision? I see you play DOTA, I play LOL, but I found that the mouse is very accurate on win10, but it will have its own acceleration on the mac (this makes my gaming experience very bad)

Sometimes I use a cheaper mouse with a Bluetooth Dongle that has physical buttons you can click. Because the Magic Mouse 2 is not really good for gaming.

I‘m struggling to find the right monitor for lectures and home office. I wonder if the resolution is good enough and if it works properly with my M1 MacBook Air. Since I don‘t have a USB-C hub yet, It would probably be easier to invest into a USB-C hub monitor.

The display is pretty good for a budget monitor, it will also work with your M1 MacBook Air with a USB-C to HDMI or USB-C to DisplayPort cable. Sure, you could always get a higher display monitor with built-in Hub features, they might just be more expensive. 👍💪

Will this work fine with the Mac mini 2014? I' assume it won't be able to do 2550 but just want to make sure it will be fine before I can upgrade the m1 Mac Mini. And does the monitor tilt?

@@LamarMK Just got it all setup now looks great. Was you able to install the LG on screen control so you can split screen? It's my first Mac desktop but had many Macbook's, my 2018 MacBook Pro died a few days ago so made the switch.

Hey, I asked you earlier about Mini problems including this monitor that Sidecar was not enabled on. Thanks for your help that time. Very recently it came available to me. Ha! I didn't recognize which update (or anything else) fixed this but I now can use my iPad as the second monitor. I now have another question. With the hubs with storage enclosure you had in another video, how much of a difference it makes between HDD and SSD? I might want a bigger and cheaper HDD to keep older files, could you show us the differences if you have a compatible HDD?

Hey there! Yes, I remember. Thanks for being a part of the channel. Glad it's now working for you. Every HDD and SSD is gonna vary in speed. But I can tell you that with an SSD the speeds are gonna be double to triple if not more of a regular HDD. So if you're looking to store older files, I'd still recommend at least getting a cheap SSD instead of an HDD.

@@LamarMK I’m always back and forth...but most likely will stick with ultrawide if anything for productivity and video editing. Even though the higher resolution is so nice, I don’t think I will use it to its full potential like photoshop or color grading work

When HDR is turned on in Big Sur, it kinda washes out the colors. The best way is to turn on HDR effect from the monitor itself. 👍💪

Lamar. Thanks for the video. I'm currently using a 2014 Mac Mini and I have this monitor connected through the HDMI cable. This monitor is advertised with "on screen management" where you can have it set up with multiple windows in a variety of configurations. Unfortunately, it is not working after I hooked it up. The LG web site does not have any firmware/software downloads or drivers for this specific model, so the multiple window feature does not work. @3:45, your video shows side-by-side windows. Did you manually open each window and size them to be even on the screen, or does the M1 Mac Mini support the LG feature of "on screen management"? Thanks in advance.

I thought the M1 was supported up to 60hz, how does your 75hz monitor work? Great video by the way

It will default to 60Hz when you first set it up. You need to go into system preferences > displays > choose scaled and select the highest resolution of your monitor and at the bottom where you see refresh rate change that refresh rate to the highest your monitor allows. Which M1 Mac do you have?

The monitor comes with an HDMI cable, but since the MacBook doesn't have an HDMI port you can use a USB-C to HDMI or USB-C to DisplayPort cable. I have mine connected to a USB-C to DisplayPort cable, I have a link to it in the video description if you wanna check it out. 👍💪
