Today we are testing and reviewing the (amazon) setpower aj50 12v fridge (refrigerator). And comparing it to my dometic cfx35 fridge as well. We will do a detailed walk through and comparison to see if the $900 dometic is really better then one of the best $300 budget fridge. Nice! I’ve been happy with the setpower, I’ve been using it instead of the dometic I have since I made this video. It’s running non stop in the 4runner off Solar and hasn’t had a hiccup yet. Good to hear! Let me know how chalk bluff is! I haven’t been there in probably a decade

I’m running the lensun solar panels on the hood of my 4runner, wired to the dometic hardwired kit for the fridge. And a optima Blue top 31 series battery!

@@bfm_overland still working good for you? I just purchased one and was hoping I made the right choice, then saw your vid. After the sale price and another discount I got on Amazon, it ended up to be $180, so I guess I really can't go wrong on that for a 50L! Nice vid.

@BrianTeal71 actually this fridge has suprised me. It has been used on every trip since I made this video. Hardwired to my tundra battery in the bed of the truck. Been rained on and off road a ton! So far zero issues 🤙🏼 that’s a honest reply

What is your opinion on using it in a boat? I’d assume it would be fine if it can handle off-roading. Just worried about bouncing across waves.

Awesome idea, I think it would work great. Just find a way to strap it down. Mine has handled off roading well and bouncing around but I would hate for it to bounce into the water! lol

@timvandergriff2111 lol nice! I think you’ll like it. You can customize it to your needs and they are water tight. I left a pan in mine after camping forgetting to wash it and when I opened it up after a few weeks it was bad lol
