I recently got the IN-8 and I love them!!! 😍🙌🏼 I upgraded from the LP-6 and wow the difference was big. Went from 2-D to 3-D sound when I first heard them. My mixes are translating even better now. Love them to death!

I use the kali LP 6 after comparing to the rocket 6 hs5 and ns 10s I have I honestly enjoy the lp 6 over all of them amazing monitors. If your able to, please review the lp 6 sometime in the future.

The trick with the hiss is to put them back further ( i have some lp-6's), even a foot further back and the the hiss wont be an issue. plus in my experiece by setting the speakers back a bit allow the bass to develope better. Also ways best to put speakers in that perfect triangle position anyways.

I have the LP-6 with a subwoofer. They are fantastic. With the LP-8 you may not need sub if the room acoustic is decent.

Kali Audio In-8 V2 monitors are supposed to correct the hiss you mentioned. They are supposed to be quieter according to a review I heard. Nice video and thanks for doing it.... Phil NYC Area

Hey, really nice review! The newer IN-5 are just now shipping and the dreaded hiss problem is gone. A 12dB reduction in hiss self-noise as compared to IN-8 and previous LP series - that's a huge drop! Anyway, was about to pull the trigger on 2-way Neumann KH 120 A or Adam A7X pair but might give the Kali IN-5 a go for half the price. Any thoughts/opinions?

There fite but I send mines back the Limiter in those kept the in 8 from cutting back on once broken in and hit the max on limiter it kept shutting off. Once they update fix those bugs in the newer model I'll gladly get it then.

Hi, thanks for the review. One question, if I may. I have a 12 ft by 12 ft room and can manage a distance of about 3-4 feet from my ears to the speakers. Would that size of room and distance be enough for speakers such as these or the Adams you mentioned. Thanks again!

I just found out about the hiss and what causes it, Kali Audio said the monitors will produce the hiss if the monitors are less than 5 feet apart, they suggest making sure they are between 5 and 9 feet apart.

@@djtuff514 😯 damn that’s wild I had the same problem @ first but once I readjusted them to the recommendations and did the calibration the diagrams have on the back for your setup in the room I was G2G. It also might be my hearing isn’t a precise as yours tho too.

The Hiss in the monitor is due to the class D amplifiers. New Krk g4 have class D amps as well and have the same Hiss, even with nothing plugged into it. How do these compare to the Yamaha HS8's?

I still love the Yamaha HS7/s BUT these blow Adams/ Genelec 8020’s/ Yamaha’s out of the water - lightweight, clean, but best of all translate almost exactly - what you hear is what it sounds like on systems.. yes hiss - manual says it is due to the class of amp’s inside - 👍🏽👍🏽but they sacrificed expensive amps so can translate great pricing for the consumer 💥💥

I have two friends with the IN-8's and they have the hiss too. I think it's just the gain in the amplifiers. This is a reason studios use Bryston amps to power bigger monitors but you can still run into noise even then.
