This might be one of the best budget switches you can get. The Akko V3 Cream is a new line of switches from Akko that's on a budget and the best thing is that these are already long poles so you don't have to worry about cherry interference!

Hello. Thanks for the video. Do you think the Cream Yellow can be considered "quiet"? Maybe in comparison with Silent Red. Thanks.
@Burpling00
@Burpling00 Жыл бұрын
It depends on what keyboard you'll put it in really. A lot of factors affect the sound of the keyboard. To have a quieter keyboard, usually you'll have to put a lot of foam to dampen the sound. If comparing cream yellows to silent reds, reds would be much quieter. Currently my cream yellows are actually one of the loudest switches I own. Maybe you should check out Akko Haze Pinks, I actually just did a review on those. Those were silent switches if those are what you're looking for

It will fit in your RKG68, just depends on what mods you'll do to achieve the same sound. But I would prioritize having a case foam and applying tape mod to reduce hollowness and have a more poppy sound. Also probably lubing the stabilizers if you haven't done that

@Burpling00
@Burpling00 Жыл бұрын
@@vendee1172 Cherry interference occurs because the keycap would hit the top housing of a switch that would cause interference. This usually happens only in the middle row (A S D and so forth). Cherry keycaps were designed to be on a south facing pcb, so putting it on a north facing pcb would cause interference. Long pole switches solve this problem since it gives enough clearance for the keycaps and switches to not touch in a way that could cause interference.
