When I saw this pop up on Facebook Marketplace I knew it would be too good to pass up. Luckily I was the first to express interest and an hour after agreeing to buy it it was in the van. Oh my gosh it beat our wildest dreams. This was by far the best lot I have purchased ever and SUCH fun, though a ton of work. some bits have gone to the members (I held a discord sale) and lots of bits will go on Olly's Bricklink once that is up and running again (will make a video about it).

I love buying bulk and seeing what treasures I can find. I bought a bulk lot for £104 and moved 1 set from that for £120. Similar situation as you found. Parents looking to just clear out the Lego, god bless these Lego muggles. Saying that I am a tiny bit jealous of your find 🤣

You’ve found treasure on a whole new magnitude, what finds you have got, such an amazing bulk buy. Those game cartridges alone will be worth selling on the second hand market. Brilliant video.

The LOTR minifigs look in great condition!! I think I have the instructions for Moria, I can send a scan if needed. Also; of course you’ll keep the sonic screwdriver!!

Hahaha. There were a few doctor who related toys in this lot. But the screwdriver was the best. I believe the instructions are in legos website so I should be okay. But thanks for offering!

Congrats on the sweet find! Sorry you had to have that experience you mentioned in the beginning of the video. While I obviously don't know the details, I feel that if you are able to take care of your fiscal responsibilities, then what you spend your extra money on is your decision and you shouldn't be made to feel bad about it. If it brings you joy then by all means do what makes you happy!

Im jealous. INo Lego store within 50miles, No Bricks and Minifigs within 50 miles, and people around my parts dont have much enthusiasm for Legos so i cant get yard sale deals as super as yours.

Great lot for sure! It’s better to buy bulk lego local then on ebay. Ebay, everyone removes the mini figures. Looking at you, goodwill 👀

I love that you pointed out the son will regret losing all this later. So true! That’s what I did many years ago, and was happy at the time to make some money from my Lego. But I definitely would rather have kept it now

I did as I was the same :P I sold all my lego in a rush, was happy with the money (lots to me at the time even though I HUGELY undervalued everything) and then I regretted selling it all a few years later. But hey, I learned from my mistake and now spend all my spare cash on lego XD

Great find. I love getting bulk lots but I have never gotten one that large. I call sorting through bulk lots Lego Archeology and it is one of my favorite things to do. It is overwhelming though.

Ohh nice one. 😊👌 Can not go. Rong scoring a bulk lot😊. Last one I got for $40 a hole shopping bag full and the parts was all like new. Bonus few mini figs and awesome parts. I only fount three. Fake Lego part s in last lot I got.

Hey Johanna! There is absolutely nothing wrong with you for having a Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver! I have 5. And I love them all.😊💕 I assume that if gamers see this vid, they will go cray cray for the game cartridges. As for the actual Lego, sooooooooo awesome!!!! Great haul. I'd say you should sleep well, but, as a builder, visions of possible new builds will be floating through your head. I am SOOO jealous!💦😑

I'm sorting a $100 lot now. It was a father's collection of 90s sets and the sons collect of 2010s star wars. Not as large but there are a few castle figures that would cover the cost of the lot by themselves.

This looks like an insane find! So many cool figures!interestingly I also own that sand green cave troll and although not exposed to much sun it’s chest piece has discolored a small bit so perhaps they don’t age very well lol (I’ve noticed sand green from around 2008-2012 can be a bit iffy as far as aging but not sure if they’ve updated it’s formula)

I think some do discolour. We got some castle knights to of which the gold had rubbed off so it seems to happen to metallic paints.

I have rediscovered Lego just in the past year, buying a dozen or so sets to the tune of about 30,000 pieces. Digging through our storage I found 2 huge bins packed to the rim with Lego. These would have been from when my adult children were kids, and sets from when I was a kid. I dug through it expecting to find just a bunch of classic bricks, but apparently I'd forgotten how into Lego my kids were. It looks very similar to what was shown in this video. Full Lord of The Rings sets, a ton of Star Wars, Bionicals, mini figures galore, and, yes, a handful of DS games 😂 I have no idea how many Lego are here, and have no idea how to estimate, so any tips there are appreciated. Started sorting yesterday. It's going to take forever.

Had a better than expected FB marketplace bulk lot buy near xmas last year - £25, just down the road from me and looked a decent gamble from the one poor photo... Got there and they handed over a massive wooden box with over 25kg of stuff in (slightly problematic as I'd walked there, at least it was downhill on the way back). Sold one minifigure from it for £30!

bionicle bulk is my fav i get great deals cus most ppl dont even know its lego, got about £400 worth of sets for £25 last week end still sorting it lol

at 9:17 something jumped inside the sorting tray. I think either your cat, or their cat has fleas and you should get your cats de-fleaed ASAP just incase. Other than that, Hell of a great haul. so many minifigs in there. I wish i still had mine from when i was a kid.

Definitely a bargain, buying older collections means getting lots of older stuff for a very good price. Even those dimensions figures are still worth quite a bit, i almost bought the marty and doc brown packs for £40 together

Oh my goodness i had the same experience with a mum selling Lego. She asked for €80,- for one bin with a technic set on top which was worth €80,- used. So that was a no brainer. I took the bus (no car yet 3 years ago), and she started talking about the rest and willing to drop it of at my place. I was (maybe) too nice and told her I had to give at least €150,- for the rest of not more (I saw booklets and shaped baseplates). And I didn’t have that kind of savings at that time. I still feel a bit stupid on the affair right now. No clue who bought it after me:)

Sorting Lego Get 19 small Tupperware containers Start with the bricks first in one container Then next Flat plates And so on Flat wedges slopes Wheels Vehicle parts Technic parts Minifigs Round parts (not wheels) Walls/Panels/Windows/Doors Bar and Rod pieces Hinge and clips Turntables Grills Cheese wedges SNOT & SOTS This is level 1 sorting Then level 2 is sorting these categories into finer shapes within themselves Level 3 is the ultimate level by sorting each sub category into color Most people can begin building after level 1, but with larger bins (20lbs) you should sort at least to level 2.

You hit the jackpot! Our experience with bulk lots is a bit traumatic. It's so dirty and when we get cool figures they are always more scratched (or chewed!) than we thought. Question: how do you clean the Lego? We put them in the washing machine but then usually still need to clean Every. Single. Brick. 🙈 with a toothbrush. Maybe we're just too perfectionist. Best from the Netherlands!

That does sound like a huge amount of work. Bulk lots always tend to be gross. But luckily this one didn’t have a lot of teeth marks. I’ve done the bath soak before where I put all the bricks in the bath with some lukewarm water and dish soap and just let it soak (be careful there are no printed pieces) and the put them in the washing machine on cold. But I’m maybe less of a perfectionist. It gets rid of most dirt in my opinion

Soooo, I found your page, because I'm doing research on lighting kits for cosplay use, and found a couple of your videos very informative. HOWEVER, I also have about two dozen assembled Bionicle kits that I'm having to part with, due to having to move. They're all green (my fav color), from roughly a year or two before they stopped making them. I don't know if you'd possibly be interested, but if so, I'd be willing to entertain an offer. I am in the US, so that's something to keep in mind.

Ik spaar namelijk deze castle sets em ben al een lange tijd aan het zoeken naar een paar specifieke minifigs accessoires/onderdelen. Als het zou kunnen zou ik ze graag kopen/mee bieden. Nou waarschijnlijk wel. Maar we moeten eerst alle onderdelen vinden om te zien of we het complete kunnen maken. Ik geloof dat de set ‘Trolls' Mountain Fortress’ heet. Would you advise selling sets complete with figures, or groups of figures, or simply selling them separately. For example I just put together the Ghostbusters Ecto 1 & 2 and have all the minifigures and accessories for them. It's been a labour of love finding them in the huge tubs of lego and putting them back together. Now wondering about reselling sets or separately. I'm only an Ebay. Never used or experience of bricklink stuff. Cheers. What an exciting find ❤

Basically in nearly all cases the value of a set comes from the minifigures. So if you want to keep the set itself you can sell the figures but if you want the clear some space it’s easier to sell the set with the figures.
