I'm so glad you're tackling these topics. Most everyone else seems to think nobody ever commutes on their bikes or doesn't mind looking like a tool when they arrive. Everything is all uncompromised sport gear, cruiser gear, or off-road gear. Seeing moto gear that doesn't look explicitly moto is nice.

I've got the Outlander GTX boots. Can confirm, they're incredible. They're legitimately comfortable for walking, not just comfortable for-a-moto-boot. And the BOA system is strong, simple, and I never get hot spots.

I've been using the Outlander GTX boots since March of 2018 and have been very pleased with them. They are my commuting boots. Very slick on ice but otherwise a solid boot and zero issues with the BOA system.

I'm ready to crush *DAKAR* . But Id also look normal hopping out of *The Car* . Don't cringe Ryan I Loved the pun.

I have had the Klim boots for a year. I even have a wide foot and they fit great. I a couple of 500 mile days wearing them with no issues.

I just got the Klim Outlander boots and absolutely love them. I’m wearing the Klim riding jeans also, the ones without armor.

OMG, I believe you may well have set a new record for top notch one liners in this video !! C'mon Ryan, would you drop your adventure bike on these boots? Would be interesting to see such a test (not necessarily with your foot but e.g. with the force measuring sensors), especially what would happen if an adventure bike would land on the boot above the sole. There's nearly none shin or ankle protection on these . The only boots that could be considered "adventure" are Sidi Adventure or Alpinestars Toucan as they're the only ones with the hinge system. Also, maybe Revit expedition but haven't done much research one them due to the astronomical price, and they also don't have gore-tex... That's basically it. As far as I know, none of other boots offer any adequate protection, especially for going off the pavement. Just find pants that fit over them and you'll look fine. If you consider doing a bit more of off-road, I'd highly recommend going with some comfortable mx boots, sth like Alpienstars tech 7. Decent in walking around, not waterproof but you could use them with gore-tex socks.

Boa system has its own disadvantage, if the cable failed, you have hard time replacing it on the field, for there's no hole for let say, a cable ties
