Good song! So refreshing to hear a positive one about my city. It really is the best major metropolitan area to live in. We have the sun, the surf, the snow, the deserts, a diverse and resilient economy, plus all kinds of people and cultures from every corner of the earth. Also, most of us are happy - and nice too - because we're here by choice, not by birth. The mother of all our problems is that way too many people know about it.

What a cool music video and details. I remember when someone shared Best Coast with me back in 2012. Time flies.

At first I was annoyed that the lyrics are basically a commercial for California tourism. But when combined with the video it becomes more charming than it does arrogant. Plus it's ridiculously catchy.

I love California, only been there once though. I live in Miami now but I love it here too. I know the song is about LA but I still feel the same way about Miami.

Can't go wrong with the coastal cities of Southern California. Los Angeles is probably best for nightlife, if you can avoid the traffic. The beaches in Orange County and San Diego (my home) are gorgeous and there's some great stuff to visit for tourists too-- San Diego Zoo, Disneyland, and so on.

Los Angeles my whole life and it fricken RULES! Lived in chicago for a bit and couldn't wait to get back. Anywhere east of oklahoma and everyone suffers from seasonal affective disorder and grumpyness. I mean, if you have your crap together even a little bit and can afford to live anywhere in CALIFORNIA, why would you live anywhere else?
