I'm sad to see Stormtroopers being put so low. They are by no means meant to be disposable (unlike soviet partizans). With the tactical advance ability they have a very high wipe potential if they manage to get close or surprise the enemy. In the elite doctrine you also get the option to give them g43s, that makes them quite similar to panzergrenadiers. Plus they get smoke grenades, incendiary nades and booby traps, all being amazing support tools. Stormies are also the only other ostheer infantry unit (apart from the sniper) that get commando camo, so unlike ambush camo, they can perform stealth attacks easier.

As a 1v1 and 2v2 player...you obviously havent fought mass assault grens coming from every direction

In terms of voice acting, Panzergrenadiers would be at the top imo.

assault grenadiers are great in first minutes, especially in 1v1 with any other allied infantry at short distance, but with the time, lack of upgrades and especially lack of anti armor make them baaad.

PanzerGrenadiers without the Panzershrecks are also far more deadly than Strumpioneers. From my observation their shots are more accurate even up to medium range

Assaultgrenadiers are good for a quick opening and making kills when the enemy is suppressed. It often results the enemy having to retreat, allowing me to cap points and gain more munitions and oil. I often support them afterwards with panzergrenadiers, using the Assaultgrenadiers to flank or trow their nades on the retreat path.

Maybe I'm biased, but since I normally do 1v1 and I prefer long range, my Jager light infantry have been my favourite and most used unit for years now

Assault grenadiers with the sprint and their grenades are some of the best units you can have to attack an enemy backline in my opinion, along with panzergrenadiers

Fallshrimjagers can absolutely shred any infantry unit with their upgrade. 3 squads can just... delete infantry blobs

Agrens a very inflexible. But that just makes them great at murking infantry and running from vehicles. Just pair 2-3 agrens with 1-2 stugs. Only thing you won't be able to take is is2, kv1/2/8 or tiger/churchill

I think the assault grenadiers are good in combination with regular grenadiers. You sprint the assault and flank the enemy while the regs distract them up front. Also 6 troops increases their survivability and they work well with the half track/ or 250 car vet 1 to reinforce.

Honestly Fallschirjager should be S tier- the FG42 means everyone basically has a BAR. their abilities are great and being able to para drop is very useful if you need to attack a point or wipe out a squad. They can wreck most squads from any distance and veterancy gives them camouflage so they can be very useful as ambushing troops

Fallscrimjaeger needs to be in S tier. Concealed effectife self healing in vet 4 and able to reinforce anywhere when stuka active. in all range and after upgrade all FG42 very fast to kill infantry.

I would rank the german Paratroopers S because when they vet up they have camo and can hide. Reaally valuable when you need to cap and hold stars.

Gonna be honest here i love the axis builders/engineers 👷‍♂️ more than the allies mainly because they have more practical options such mines than the allies counterpart and on top of that i do see axis engineers/builders 👷‍♂️ superior to allies engineers in terms of combat. Thats why i personal agree that sturmpioneer is a S tier or should I say S+ tier because there the best engineers when it comes to fighting infranty and they can really fight almost any infranty in the game and wipe the floor with them when fully vet. As for pioneer squad i still like the unit for its mines and its ability to build bunkers which now (upon making this comment) bunkers don't cost population, so you can build many bunkers with machine guns as many as you like. 😁 My most favorite engineers in the game is the assualt engineers from USF 🇺🇸, second favorite is sturmpioneer cause they're basically pioneers that hit the gym and never miss a gun training day. 💪😠

FACT stormtroopers were invented in WW1 with Ludendorff's offensive and they were actually part of the German shock troops until the game made them to replace actual commando units of the German army.

Asasult Grand are really good early tho..sprint....They are teir A for the first 15 min, then after that they are good against bad players.

Strum pioneer is the best infantry for me! It has a cold package with anti-tank and fully armed with STG-44 at start and able to throw flash bangs(stun grenades) and 5 star Veterancy and also able to build at start and also a engineer who can repair stuffs while the other nations engineers have SMGs and rifles and upgrade able flamethrowers but the strum pioneers are like panzer grenadiers with 1 less panzersherck but cold package is very good in winter mode while cold resistance guys are normally snipers only! They are Engineers as well as assault troopers and anti-tank squad and cheap and available at the start of the game!!!!! What more do you need?????

Assault Grenadiers are S++. The Best German Infantry of the game. They are always Assassins in my game stats.

Panzer grens are amazing I will not go into battle without them, them and grenadiers are amazing. just me personally I like them I always have two grens and 2 panzer grens. Assault grens are meh I don't use them the arty officer is actually super handy at least to me I use the smoke ability more than anything.

I have to disagree with you for the field officer. They are very strong and you seem to put them low. Firstly, they have a cheap smoke barrage that covers a decent area, I’ve used this to great effectiveness and with a coordinated team we pushed the enemy into their base. Coordinated fire is pretty good especially with being with Wehrmacht when you can get Grenadiers that already shred infantry and it also buffs tanks. Coordinated mortar barrage is using I think 120mm shell explosions and it’s really cheap. Then if necessary that have he coordinated artillery which is rather cheap. If you use a panzerwerfer or 2 you can get a bonus barrage from them after using the first one, really good at wiping blobs. So they are easily A tier for me and possibly S tier.

Obersoldaten definetly not worth, they supposed to be a direct upgrade to the panzergrenadiers and most of the time they are straight worse mostly because the panzergrenadier will arrive much sooner on top of the diference in dps may be 10-20% so by the time the obersoldaten arrive the panzergrenadiers are vet 2 or 3 already wich will make them much better than fresh obersoldaten in any way.

Pioneers B? :D They sometimes loose melee to soviet engineers and their repair rate is just the worst...

Biggest early game mistake in team games that axis noobs do is go for both fuels against veteran ally players. You stay together and get the closest 2 vp points and one fuel. You stick together because ally inf will destroy axis inf that are split up. Even if the lone teamtes gets the other fuel by himself alone, he cant hold it most likely due to ally inf being able to double team him and push him off. You now have split axis inf vs combined ally inf. Not Good!!!!

I actually do agree with everything in this list. I would have put Assault Grenadiers on C (C-) because at least they are viable (although very inflexible), pre patch they were easily D tier because they couldn’t even fight sappers or other close range units and couldn’t kill fast enough in close quarters. Jaeger Recon squad are useful mostly for recon purposes especially if you are OKW and you don’t have many recon options, jaegers have good sight radius and will camouflage, combat wise they are good pointman units but they are defensive only imo.

Obers will kill any other infantry 1on1 though, even coming late without vet. It's hilarious to re-crew a raketenwerfer with them and see cocky allied infantry get shredded.

Very much agreed with Obersoldaten and Assault Grenadiers, the first is hype and inefficient and the second, even after the buff, is still sufficient and has very heavy trades to it, btw before the Sturmpioniers (agreed, Panzergrenadiers and Stormtroopers are inferior to them in that aspect) I would put Shock Troops (of course they won't ever be toppled), Commandos, Rangers, Paras, Assault Engineers and then Cavalry Riflemen, and at this point, of course, Assault Inf Sections (probably just behind Rangers, though I wouldn't have expected anything less from the already top tier UK Inf Section with 5 Thompson or with another LMG on top of it lol); at best only Cavalry Riflemen have less impact and menace in CQ but the other Allies infantry are all more potent in some degree than the best Axis CQ unit. Btw rip Ostheer Jaeger, damn another tier miss :(

Wehr sniper that low? its the fastest shooting and stealthing, and the incendiery literally wipes squads, also since every sniper is for anti-infantry the gimmick of british is just thrash since it fires so slow. Also vs soviet its never to good to get sniper except for countering the soviet sniper(thanks to the much larger support weapon squads and the infantry).

Assault grenadiers C? I thought they’d be at least C-B tier! I’ve shredded infantry that’s not sturmpioneers and shock Tripp’s with them and their grenade ability can insta kill squads of the enemy doesn’t see or can’t move them in time. Their sprint ability is also pretty useful. They are also very survivable since they have 5-6 men squads

Pioneer S tier. Can you win a game without them? Can you build things? Can you requisition tanks, AT guns or repair things? For all intents and purposes, players are nothing without their battlefield engineers.

I look back here every so often and wonder why they haven't added in, say... Brandenburger Commandos for the Wehrmacht? I mean, I've been using Bren-Commandos very often and I'll be honest, they're a bit OP. Higher accuracy with Brens make them as good as MG42s. I would really want to see Brandenburgers be a unit for the Wehrmacht. 5 man squad, all equipped with buffed MP40s, with either a dual STG-44 or dual-MG34/42 upgrade, camo, hold fire, bundle nade, etc. Basically copy-pasted Commandos. They'd be a unit that'd put *some* variety in infantry set-ups for the Wehrmacht instead of just... Grenadier.

Wehrmacht sniper is the best sniper in the game. Just because enemy has 5 or 6 , that doesnt mean that you cant constantly snipe them. Your grens are 4 man and they beat every infantry once they get vet 2 where they get %40 accuracy bonus and you pave the way them to making equal fights in terms of manpower. It is great unit while fighting against american which hasnt got any sniper and brits whose sniper is the worst. And i think you made a mistake , grens should be S and sturms should be A because of their high cost and useless late game in terms of fighting.

Greyshot, your buddy is a noob. Don't listen to him. The fact that he wants to put grens at A and sniper and agrens at D says it all. Grens are a B tier since they are ok at everything but not excellent at anything. Their long range dps with the lmg is great, but u can't be moving unlike volk stgs. Snipers and agrens are not units u can A-move in a blob. Therefore D tier???!!!!! Your buddy is probably some 3v3/4v4 blobbing noob who can't handle anything but mainline inf. Ostruppen are also skill dependant. Noobs and 3v3/4v4 players would probably give it C tier, but people who actually know how to use it will gladly give it B. Pgrens and sturms can be argued to be a or s tier depending on situation. If u can nullify the disadvantages of the squads (eg. no snares, less range, etc.) by knocking out lights with a teller, or getting a CQC dominant map, or u get ambush camo, and if u can spam them without being punished by your opponent they deserve S tier. Otherwise A tier.

A little rant: AssGrens are great early game. Yes, they can be countered if you use them like cannon fodder in low numbers, but believe it or not, they are great at flanking MGs, decrewing mortars and assaulting slow rate-of-fire long-range infantry. I'd say their perceived weakness comes form their SMGs which have very low effective range. Only penals can hold their own without soft retreating from them. And don't get me started on their abilities, which are genuinely good In other words AssGrens one of the best units early game. period. Jagers are also really good. I don't get the rep they are receiving. They are extremely deadly, has good attack range and huge line of sight. It is not a cannon fodder like panzerfuziliers, but a support unit that will reliably chip away enemy wounded soldiers if supported by volks, while providing good line of sight. Jagers are definitely at least B tier in my list. Also don't forget that Relic did not nerf Jagers combat stats, but removed infiltration and made them more expensive.

I feel like you overrated Sturmpoineers and the fallenschirmjäger. I think obersoldaten are better than fallenschirmjäger, because the commander that has them is in my opinion very bad. While the commanders that use the STG ability for obers are pretty good. Also, I don't know if I am just bad at deploying them, but every time I try to get one behind enemy lines in a 1v1 or 2v2, they just die before touching the ground (maybe because 1v1 maps are smaller than 4v4 maps). Sturmpoineers are pretty bad if your enemy knows how to micro and takes alot of cover, because they are a 4 man squad and they lose alot of firepower if they drop to 2 or 3 (3 not so much)

The stormtroopers are supposed to be the Commando Brandenburgers of the German Abwerh intelligence yet this game.....just play Men of War Assault Squad and you will learn something about actual Elites of the Abwerhmacht.

3 PzGrenadier or PzFusilier squads can one shot any medium tanks, if all the rockets hit. use them with even a single Pz 4 will instantly kill a tank The biggest challenge of using german infantry is fighting against Soviet commanders with Propaganda leaflets and Incendiary artillery. Those skills make map control impossible
