Great video very interesting!! Would this be used more in a light weight explosiveness phase of training or more of a strength and heavy lifting phase?? Thanks

I was actually just watching one of Cal Dietz’s videos on the Safety Bar Split Squat, and how he has had a ton of success with his athletes with this lift. Have you implemented this in your training or with your athletes? Keep up the good work man!

My sisters boyfriend bought a static contraction machine and imported it from USA to New Zealand. This was around 2002. At the time no one was training like this, exceot for Tony Robbins. This is very interesting to see it resurface. Keen to see ehat results you get compared to full motion exercises.

Gotta love a bit of PAP
@jusshitdabong7491
@jusshitdabong7491 6 жыл бұрын
I think this is a great way to invoke PAP, but normally a heavy weight is taken through full ROM in the exercise instead of the isometric contraction you explain here. If that heavy weight can equally as efficiently activate the nervous system, there would still be the small added benefit of progression (in amount of weight lifted) over time, no? Or are you suggesting that all strength improvement should be done in a completely separate workout? Just curious. I like this idea and I’ll definitely implement this type of training

Yo in a full day how much should i do this type of exercises. Like maybe just one drill from the i dont know maybe 8 drills of that day, and performing the number of sets for that drill. Maybe 2 of the 8 drills of a day. Or should this complexes be done just once a week u know

Is it a negative to do the same type of workout week in week out? Or is it fine as long as you steadily add weight as you get stronger?
@whiteninja1838
@whiteninja1838 6 жыл бұрын
For beginners that's fine but as you become more advanced you should rotate the exercises, sets, reps or training goal to prevent plateaus and overuse injuries.

White Ninja Well that’s kinda off what I meant, how often should I rotate the reps and weight before doing something else? A a week, two weeks?

I don't think there's ice anywhere near where Chris lives. You'd be better off finding a trainer that has actual ice hockey experience.
