in all honesty i have always felt like something is missing in kai's dancing. idk what it is, yes his moves are hard and precise but that's all they are, he kinda lacks fluidity and grace. but that's just my opinion

I understand and that's why dance, music, art, etc are really in the eye of the beholder... with Kai though (and not just because he's good looking lol!) has that charisma when he's dancing that my eyes are drawn to watch him.. the same goes for J-Hope and Taemin. Surprisingly it's not that way for Jimin even though he's undeniably good!

Dance is more than just the execution of movements, it is also about conveying the emotion and meaning of the music whether it's sultry, sad, happy, aggressive, etc. Jimin and Taemin both excel at this. so true. hoseok has already dance over 10+ years before Joining BTS, his skill levels and versatility is unmatched right now. though 'showcasing' plays an important role. lots of people are biased anyway or haven't seen his potentials on the other hand thank to bighit (!), but it won't lessen any value of this boy. professionals always have acknowledged him, regardless of having the least opportunities to showcase himself and his every per stage is a total art, proving why he's known as the best performer live by armies/concerts. personally, I don't think anyone can top taemin and hoseok of current kpop. and hobi, surely needs more showcasing, spotlights, and recognition. he is a gem.

Completely and totally agree. His dancing in the Coming of Age cover dance he and Jungkook do looks completely effortless. His dancing to the song Lie is breathtaking. I have never been more taken with a male dancer than I have with Jimin. He moves with fluidity and grace and yet he can also move like Michael Jackson. He is truly a one-of-a-kind dancer. The footage I’ve seen of him when he was much younger and he was popping and locking blew me away. I wish he did more of that now. The dancing he did in BTS’ early days in videos is something I’d also like to see more of. He is one of my BTS cobiases and that’s because of his dancing, but also because of his almost ethereal beauty, his handsomeness, and his cuteness. And he’s really sweet on top of that. Not to mention that fantastic butt.

Even the video clip of Kai doesn't even show his modern dance solo. That solo beats Jimin. But then, this list was based on fan votes, not technique rating.

I knew at once that he was an excellent dancer once I saw his chaine turns on Seven First Kisses. He had perfect form, airy instead of earthbound, which is a ballet line (like you have a string at the top of your head and it lifts you up as you dance) and perfect spotting. He can look anything from a ballet dancer to a popper to a figure skater. I had to check out Taemin. He is good; however, he's very limited to popping. Spotting was off when he tried to do chaine turns (it didn't even look like he was pivoting on the ball of the foot, since his feet looked like they were flat on the floor). It's almost like he's just trying to be Michael Jackson, so while he is good, I cannot give him the top spot. That would go to either Kai or Rocky. Taemin would be third.
