You have to learn to read these demographic data surveys, not always focus on the intervals and the last dramatic point. You can clearly see that it's a wave movement and every twenty years there's a peaking and then falling. it looks pretty normal. It's the same thing with climate elevations, if you look at the graph in the complete recording cycle, you see the whole picture. They show figures up to the 1950s at the most (that's when all the boomers were manufactured in the high ashbury pickle factory). The figures look exactly the same as they did in the 1920s. Nothing to worry about.
