Thanks for actually comparing rifles instead of just rehashing specs.

That 1.1" group out of the SCAR with the M80 ball is astonishing.

DD5, since semi auto 308s are primarily proprietary because no standardization, I'd rather go with a reputable high quality company based in U.S. . Just wish they had bolt carrier group parts kit.

I really enjoyed your video comparison on these 3 awesome rifles. I think the best part is you shared everything about them, pluses and minuses. You spent your own money and used your own experience versus regurgitating others talking points. I am looking forward to more of your content

I would pick the aero too. Giving price point and availability of aftermarket parts.

great video and thank you for showing a actual comparison and not just listing specs. I appreciate also that you covered a spectrum of rifles (aero build expensive nice parts vs premium rifle like Daniel and scar) showing a good user case point. especially covering design aspects like barrel design and barrel profile.

The Aero Enhanced Handguards might be chonky, but man was I surprised how conformable mine is. I don't have huge hands, but have pretty long fingers, so it works great for me.

Aero precision regularly gives discounts to their uppers from 10-20% every other week. They did 30% off sitewide for black Friday deals that lasted roughly 2 weeks. Built my M5E1 (no sighting system + I didn’t get an adjustable gas block) + their 2 stage trigger for only 1200 including tax. So for the value, you just can’t go wrong with the aero precision.

Awesome video! I would agree SCAR is the most controllable while being that light. The POF Revolution PD (while being even lighter) really shoves me back with each shot, especially when sitting down. I also found that SCAR is the least picky about ammo in terms of accuracy and reliability; even with some gunky bulk M80 with loose tips, it never had an issue and usually held less than 2MOA(3-5 shots). The one I used is the NRCH version, it has pretty dialed-in gas settings from the factory for both unsuppressed and suppressed. I didn't have any wild POI shift. SCARs don't normally whip left or right. Maybe check your barrel screws or perhaps redo the screws? I bet you can tighten them some more at 62in-lb.

I would choose either my CZ Bren2 7.62x51 or my Noveske N6 308 build. I sold my SCAR 17 to get an HCAR in 30-06 I like it but it has some weight to it. I would love to get a Tavor 7 in 308 but it's harder to find one in stock than my CZ Bren 2 was. Great video

Fantastic video. Have you considered upgrading your dd5 spring or buffer? It uses a carbine spring and not a rifle length spring, correct?
@PrussianPushma3 ай бұрын
I read about someone changing the whole buffer tube out for a longer one as well as the longer spring and heavier buffer

Quality large frame AR’s don’t bash themselves apart from the factory. They’re also more accurate. Debate over.

@@NorthernMarksman thanks so much ! I have a scar 17 also but not nearly as many rounds. I started getting into shooting it supressed but had some issues with a dead air sandman baffle strike. Since it’s the second issue I’ve had with them and since I’ve heard the flow cans kind of work best with the scar platform, I’m thinking of just starting over with a hux. I was genuinely thinking of dumping the rifle after thinking about the potential other issues like the optics breaking and such but I think if I go Nightforce like you did or like a vortex razor 1-10 I should be alright.
@p47rr5 ай бұрын
With the seekins adjustable gas block. You need to clean it often. Or it will seize.
@NorthernMarksman5 ай бұрын
@user-mp2kx1by9m flow through would definitely be the way to go, just be aware of potential increased flash, especially if it's titanium. I also tried the sandman S on the Scar and it was awful. Super gassy and increased recoil.
@stevenbarnes63165 ай бұрын
The screws walking back in your scar are not from the stock, it is from running it suppressed. That's why it voids the warranty when you run it like that.
@NorthernMarksman5 ай бұрын
Some people have reported accelerated wear due to the metal hinge plate of the ACR stock over the plastic factory plate. Either way, poor design if it can't handle being suppressed when intended for Military contracts.
