If it’s possible, I would love to see a video for more details on the alogic 27”. I really like the glossy monitor and it looks like it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. But the last review video was kinda short and more focusing on comparing with the Apple. I would love to see a hands on video and show the audio quality as well.

How do you use such 140 - 160 dpi screens? - Do you use it in 1x low-dpi mode and deal with the small ui? - or do you use the 2x high-dpi mode and let mac scale it down? For me, mac os requires either 100-110 dpi for low-dpi mode or 200-220 dpi for high-dpi mode. But I'm really sensitive to none pixel perfect screens and I know that others don't notice the scaling artifacts, but I do. And a lot of guides recommend these 140 dpi 4k screens which look a lot worse to me than a 1440p 110dpi screen.

Just bought Dell's 27 inch IPS-black Display U2723QE as a 2nd Monitor for my Intel 27 inch iMac (2013 top model still great). And in perspective I will use 2 of this monitor together for the Mac Studio, too. Did NOT buy the Studio display, because it doesn't work with the old Intel iMac, where I still have a lot expensive software on. However, a pair of the Benq PD2725U would be my runner up. I am a product and graphic designer.

Samsung M8 issue. Hi there, thank you for the video 👍🏼 3:00 I do have a question that i hope you can confirm or have an answer for my problem. It concerns the M8 connected wired to the latest ipad M2 pro 12.9. When the connection is wired and lets say i’m watching the KZfaq app (or whatever i do on the monitor) of the samsung i can still use the ipad to do something else with an ipad app, but i don’t have sound on the ipad. I also can’t move the volume sliders of the ipad. I can use ear pods or a bluetooth speaker, but the speakers of the ipad i can’t. Am i missing out something? I did tried the samsung settings and searched the inet but can’t find an answer. Hope you or someone here has a solution for this. Thanks in advance!

My husband got a LG 38WN95C-W for his Mac Studio and it's been great. It has a Thunderbolt port so it can do 144Hz over it, he also charges his Macbook Pro when he has that hooked up. At 38" inches it's a big boy and great for his medical art. His PC uses the Display Port which still leaves a couple HDMI ports for consoles if he wants to hook them up. Highly recommend it.

Thanks for this. I’ve been using an M8 for about 3 months now along with a max mini. I hadn’t needed the camera until Last week but for some reason it refused to work. On googling the issue I discovered a potential issue is that the camera doesn’t work with the hdmi cable connecting the 2 but does with the USBC I didn’t have time to fiddle around with the cables and I use both my USBC ports on Mac Mini for other things so I just used the iPad camera instead but was wondering if anyone has found another fix for this?

Don’t say it’s made for Apple users because of its aesthetics, if that’s all you can say. Made for Apple means it integrates with macOS: volume and brightness controls, Airplay, a native resolution that works well with Apple UI scaling…

Obviously the Apple ones are nice, just pricey. Logitech is my other go-to because they have some nice options that are mac-specific. Third choice would be Satechi that has a nice Magic Keyboard clone for less money!

I would go for Logitech MX Master Keyboard with Logitech MX Master 3 Mouse if you want to use membrane keyboard or Logitech K850 Keyboard with M720 Mouse if you want to use mechanical keyboard. I use K850 with M720 because I like the feeling of mechanical keyboard when I type, but some people chooses MX Master collaboration.

Yeah, I thought I might return it within the 14 day buyer’s remorse period, but nope. No regrets whatsoever. It is a truly beautiful display and despite a lack of local dimming it does have deeper blacks and better contrast than my 5K iMac it replaced. It’s brighter too.

If it's not 5K, I won't consider it. Currently using a 4K Samsung waiting for my 5K iMac to have it's SSD replaced - it's night and day! Studio Display is too expensive (do I need those speakers? Not really), Ultrafine is not without its problems (build quality and WiFi issues) and the Samsung Viewfinity S9, when it comes out, will no doubt be on par price-wise with the Studio Display (do I need the smart TV features? Hard no!). A dumb 5K bare bones screen with that iMac's panel can be done for a grand, I'm sure. I'm all over that.

Need to use a 1440 or 5k monitor for proper scaling of Mac images. Avoid 4k.

Many thanks for a very informative video. For the LG 5k2k Curved Ultrawide, would any scaling be necessary to make text easily readable?

I had it here for three days on my mac mini m1. The scaling options in the mac prefs were just not shown. Two agents from apple helpdesk couldt helt, the LG hotline was totally useless, so i sent it back. Picture was great, but text in the menu bar etc just too small for me to read. So im still looking to a comparable monitor around 40inch wide

27-inch QHD from LG without scaling issues for my wife. Apple works best with QHD and 5k resolution. 4k has scaling issues, so it isn't optimized from a scaling standpoint.

I just purchased a Dell Ultrasharp U3223QE and so far, I am very pleased with it. Honestly I don’t understand why this monitor is not getting more attention. It looks good, has a fantastic display, has pretty massive hub functionality, is not overloaded with pointless features and has a very solid build. Best part being it was a bargain compared to the Studio Display.

Great to hear you're pleased with the U3223QE! I agree it's one of the best alternatives to the Studio Display with the larger screen, thin bezels, improved contrast ratio and USB hub. Obviously the lower PPI is the main drawback but if the PPI of a 32" 4K is good enough for a user, then this monitor is a really worth considering.

How can you justify spending over a grand on this crappy LCD monitor when even a 55 inch OLED like the C1 costs less. I will never know
@murdockscott
@murdockscott Жыл бұрын
@@lennylennington A quick search seems to find the 55" C1 costing on average about $300 more than what I paid. (I'm guessing they go on sale regularly?) Regardless, I am not into the TV as a monitor thing. I just don't have the room to sit that far back from a screen. Also, I am doubtful an OLED can match the color accuracy of an IPS panel and I am a photographer whose clients demand good color. I see people doing the big TV style monitors and have been curious, but I can't see this working for me and my workflow.
@sergiostockfleth823

@@lennylennington While I agree with you that OLEDS are awesome, I would, for professional use, also choose something more along the lines of the Dell 32" monitor, or any of the monitors mentioned in the video, rather than trying to fit a 55" OLED display on my small height adjustable table in the office. My colleagues would roll around on the floor laughing...... It would also be troublesome with the protective auto dim feature, to be able to safely tell colors apart, and for extended hours of CAD work, I would be a bit worried about burn in. However, I would consider an OLED when they make them in or around 32" 🙂 At home I have a 48" OLED with 120Hz as a tv/streaming screen and for that it is perfect.
