In this video we understand about The Soleus Pushup this exercise has been found to be helping in managing the blood sugar/glucose levels in diabetics.
Also "Soleus Pushup" Fuels Metabolism for Hours While Sitting.
Hamilton’s research suggests the soleus pushup’s ability to sustain an elevated oxidative metabolism to improve the regulation of blood glucose is more effective than any popular methods currently touted as a solution including exercise, weight loss and intermittent fasting. Oxidative metabolism is the process by which oxygen is used to burn metabolites like blood glucose or fats, but it depends, in part, on the immediate energy needs of the muscle when it’s working.
“When activated correctly, the soleus muscle can raise local oxidative metabolism to high levels for hours, not just minutes, and does so by using a different fuel mixture.”
Reducing the levels of fat in the blood (VLDL triglyceride).
Hamilton calls it the “most important study” ever completed at his Metabolic Innovations lab at UH, and said the discovery could be a solution to a variety of health problems caused by spending hours each day living with muscle metabolism that is too low, caused by inactivity
Regardless of a person’s level of physical activity, too much sitting has been shown to increase the risk of heart disease, diabetes, dementia and more.

I am doing this exercise standing 60 to 70 counts after food and on checking my sugar was 125.Even today after full dinner I have done this and my sugar is 125.

TY for this doc! I had seen some other videos talking about the Soleus Muscle but I love that you actually showed a demo of the move and that you did it barefoot, which makes it easier to see what every part of the foot is doing! Thank you again and best wishes in all you do❣️

It’s a good question I will make a video on y as well but before that here are some points : 1. It is caused due to increased blood sugar levels & not managing it properly. 2. Vitamin B12 deficiency caused neuropathy 3. numbness and tingling in the feet or hands.burning, stabbing or shooting pain in affected areas.loss of balance and co-ordination.muscle weakness, especially in the feet. 4. Reduces eating ultra refined processed foods, Do physical activity, Eat food rich in phytonutrients & understand the root cause of why there is neuropathy pain in feet. 5. Yes Soleus push up helps in managing you blood sugar levels & hence it also help you reduce your neuropathy pain as well

Well i suggest to do it 10 to 15 min after each meal or while you are sitting

Well, at the time of the research they have done the pushup up to 130 min & 270 min & they have noted what happens every 15 min, although there is no clear recommendations on how long to do it. As I watched Andrew huberman podcast he sayes “if I were to have you perform hundreds or thousands of repetitions, even with a very light weight, eventually it would fatigue. You would feel a burn there. The Soleus muscle is designed to be used continuously,It’s designed to contract over and over and over again, and in fact, you could walk all day on this muscle and most likely it would not get sore.” The Soleus pushup group also experienced a decrease in blood glucose by 52% and insulin reduced by 60%. when done for 130 min or 270 min, also if done for 30min there would be certain percentage of reduction of blood glucose, if done for 60 min there would be certain percentage of reduction of blood glucose. At this point of time you can make your own protocol according to your condition with all the safety measures. Anything in excess is harmful to our body please do make an informed choice & then practice, if you want to start then check your PPBS & then do a 15 min of Soleus Pushup & check you blood glucose & see the difference. The methods of the study involved people doing SPUs continuously forThe actual 3 to 4 hours at a time, at least 50 times per minute, without stopping for more than four minutes at a time. Is this even feasible, sounds little unrealistic. Unless you have plenty of time doing this.
