Finally! The Australian Gold is it!! I've tried probably over 50 sunscreens now, both mineral and hybrid.. .this one is just perfect and since I use alot of product, the price works for me. My skin is normal and I'm light to medium in color, the fair to light one is a great match. Thank you for all your work, so appreciated!

So many great choices!! So far I am really loving the Australian Gold especially since it is so affordable and I like that it gives me coverage so I don't have to wear make-up over it. I'm really looking forward to trying and reviewing the Colorscience and EltaMD sunscreens. ❤

I have dry skin and I love the Australian Gold sunscreen! It is pretty matte, but if you add some hydration before applying then it's still really comfortable. Also... It kept my skin protected beautifully when I was in Hawaii. I'll be wearing it all summer, for sure.

Yes!! I find if I use a nice hydrating/dewy moisturizer underneath the Australian Gold it gives the perfect amount of hydration ❤️

It will be nice that you dedicate one video for sunscreens for dry skin and to get the dewy finish like the Super Goop in this video. It’s sad that is more common to see videos dedicated to oily skin or “sensitive”skin but I don’t hear too much about skin care for people with more on the dry side. Thank you 🥰

There’s a dupe for the La Roche Posay spf, it’s the ombrelle spf 60 ultra fluid lotion. It has the same filters and on sale at shoppers for $12.99. Both owned by L’Oréal

Colorescience is my favourite, i have went through a few bottles of it. It's the only zinc oxide based sunscreen that's ok to use on tanned skin, doesn't have alcohol or fragrance, as I've got an olive skin tone and most mineral sunscreens leave such a white cast on me.

I just got the DRMYTOGY and have tried it 2 days now and so far love it. The Australian Gold is another go to i am so bad at reapplying need to get the power I think that is the best way to get it done. I am just glad I have started using Sunscreen EVER DAY!

I have very dry skin,combo in summer, and I love the Australian Gold Sunscreen. Been using it for years, year round without any issue and it's super affordable. I gave my Cerave sunscreen away, it didn't blend and was to orange for me. I was hoping it worked due to it being for dryer skin but I did not like it at all, and I tried it a few times. Everyone is different that's for sure.

Hi Miss Ash, I purchased the Australian Gold ( my 1st sunscreen) and Omgoodness it was soooooo drying. It’s beautiful, but on my normal to dry skin it made my skin feel so tight and under my eyes it accentuated my crinkles. I ended up throwing it away. Love the Skin Aqua 50 PA+++++. And the drmtlgy tinted. I just purchased the La Roche Posay 60 melt and milk. Although it makes my eyes burn. They sent me a sample and I loved it. It did not make me eyes burn at all. So disappointed in the large tube of it at $40+. And yes, the tinted CereVe moisturizing one was sooo orange and dark on my fair complexion. I for sure am re~ purchasing the Skin Aqua. But on the hunt for a Holy Grail mineral. Thank you sweetie for another in depth video.

@@Alishawlk the drmtlgy one for me is the most moisturizing however is not waterproof, the elta md follows and The la roche-possay tinted one isn’t drying but I wouldn’t consider it moisturizing. Btw Since, I’ve tried the colorscience flex and the matte line and those two have been my go to for the last 10 months, I find the tint to be more true to my skin tone and they have a higher spf and are also moisturizing. (I have experienced dryness from using mineral spfs on a daily basis before however I haven’t with those. Hope this helps.

I have combo skin and i love the Australian gold i use it every day with or without makeup, is there any good spray SPF that i can spray over my makeup to top up through out the day

I just searched for the Cerave spf & I can't find it in the UK either. But I can get it on eBay. Which is odd too, as I can buy all of the Cerave products here in the UK in my local pharmacy & beauty stores. Thank you for this video. I'm really struggling with which spf to get this year x

You guys If you're into only mineral spfs should seriously try the ARC SUNCARE mineral spf 50, it's fragrance free, alcohol free and non Nano zinc. Its the least white castey Mineral suncreen i've ever tried hands down. I have perioral Dermatitis and very sensitive skin and this is my holy Grail and I really tested 100+ mineral suncreens over the years. They do ship wordwide. Its really a Game changer for me so since its small european brand you might check it Out! Much Love from Germany ♥️

It is recommended to use either an SPF 30 or higher for the face as well as for the body. Anything lower than that isn't recommended for proper sun protection.

I just want one that’s good and doesn’t burn my eyes. Right now I’m using a sample I got in my Ipsy bag of the Kinship and it’s feels slightly greasy on my skin at first then it’s fine but I’m looking for a drugstore brand that will not feel too greasy and not burn my eyes

I would try a mineral sunscreen as I find these don't sting my eyes when I apply them to the lids and around the eye area. If you have slightly oily skin I would try the Australian Gold as it has that matte finish but turns into a skin like finish throughout the day. Sunscreen is such a personal preference..

Why does Colorscience make my dry skin look so greasy? I use it over a moisturizer as recommended

Are you allowing your serums and moisturizer to absorb into the skin before applying sunscreen? I like to wait a good 15-20 min or sometimes 30 minutes before applying sunscreen which I find helps a lot.

The Colorescience SPF powder applicator is terrible. I had such a hard time getting the powder to dispense, no matter how many times I tapped. I ended up returning it. I absolutely love the SPF powder from Supergoop, it’s translucent and it dispenses so easily. I found the PC tinted sunscreen too tacky. I currently really enjoy using the Olay Mineral sunscreen spf 30.

Phoenix, I agree! I still use it ... I poured the powder in a clean, brown prescription bottle & keep it & a makeup brush in a small bag in my purse. Use it to reapply SPF before leaving work.

@@WS-zl3bi I don’t remember how I did it. HA! 😂 I keep one RX bottle in my purse & one RX bottle in my work bag … & just use a small brush to put on the powder. The bottles are dark & they lock, so I never have to worry about it spilling in my bag. I don’t have any of the Colorescience powder containers at home right now - yet I think I twisted it off.

@@WS-zl3bi Just received a new order of Colorescience. For the powder, you simply unscrew the small lid on the end with the powder and then you can pour it out. It shouldn’t be on there very tight. 😎

Not only for the Ordinary, but this basic lines from skincares : Cleanser, toner, serum, moisteriser, then sunscreen. Only retinols, u can use it in the evening.

My husband is Hispanic and he does not use sunscreen I been trying to make him use it daily. He gets so dark being in the sun within a minute not kidding so I wanna find something that would work for him.

@@SincerelyMissAsh not sure. I would say he has combination skin during summer he gets very oily and at winter he is very dry. I used the Australian gold 50 on him and that did not look good on his dark skin at all 😅 but I can definitely get this one and make him try it.

✅ Australian Gold ( I have the medium to tan ) - new formula seems to be much more silkier, I like it better than the original plus the tint is on warmer side. The Elta MD UV Elements 44 tinted is amazing👏. I bought it of Amazon US and paid shipping to UK but it well worth it! Tint again is on then warmer side rather than cool. And my advice is DON’T buy the Colorescience Glow ☺️ is more gold metallic look rather than “tin woman” ☺️😝 I honestly still have more than half bottle left and expires in July. I just can’t use it in its own, it makes me look very strange 😁 stranger than I look already 🤣😂 Is nice to use as highlighter though, but in my opinion is not worth buying a full size just for that. Again is just my opinion. Actually here on YT Angie from Hot and Flashy just included the Colorescience Glow in her SPF review last week. Same opinion as me ☺️ metallic !

Ah thank you so much for you feedback on the new formulation of Australian Gold as well as the EltaMD UV Elements.. I am excited to pick those up! Thanks for letting me know about the Colorescience GLOW. It sounds so intriguing but if you and Angie both don't like it maybe I should pass on it lol... Would you honestly say it's more glowy/metallic than the Glowscreen by Supergoop or would you say it's about the same?

Hi Ash 😘, I have not tried Supergoop but I can say that Face Shield Glow makes me look like I . am .... hmmm gold plated ☺️ I personally hate it . To me there is a difference between a glowy look ( which Face Shield Glow is not ) and metal gold shine ( which to me Shield Glow is). But please, do not just go on the back of my opinion. I don’t want you to miss out on trying it just because of what I think 😖. UV Elements tinted has also a nice glow to it, is not a flat tint. Bare in mind I have a medium skin tone, for me works without self tan , same as Australian Gold Medium to tan .Sorry I kept going on about sunscreens 😝but I have about 7 in my drawer currently and still hope to find a better mineral tinted one. I trust your judgement☺️ It can be difficult to purchase Colorescience here in Canada anyways so maybe I will stick with the regular Face Shield and my Powder Sunscreens from them instead. It's not like I need the glow sunscreen anyways lol! I definitely have a hard time finding tinted sunscreens that work well when I am not self tanning. I am pretty fair and having a two tone look (from my face and neck) isn't exactly the cutest so really I am always on a hunt for a new tinted option as well but by the sounds of what you are saying the UV Elements may be too dark for me unless I am self-tanning. You have been a great help Catalina! Thank you so much 🥰😘❤️

I purchased the CeraVe from Amazon and I was pretty disappointed when I got the untinted.

Purchasing from Amazon can be tricky when it comes to skincare as I find there can be a lot of products that are not legit. Cerave is a retailer on Amazon. Try getting it from them 👉🏻 amzn.to/3P0PEwM

La roche posay is also not cruelty free for those taking animal testing into their buying decision.

Its annoying that so many of them are not available in Canada. With shipping, tax and customs. It makes more sense to get Asian ones, which have great (or even better) filters and less hassle when shopping.

This video would be more helpful if you showed us the sunscreens on your face. You seem to be rubbing them really this across your hand so it doesn't mimic how it would look when you apply an appropriate amount (most people don't apply enough and spread it out too thin).

The little drop you apply to your hand is also being spread all over your fingers that you use to rub it in so it's really not showing a true representation.
