I’d love for you to review Aussie sunscreens (i.e. Naked Sundays, Ultra Violette, Bondi Sands), considering that skin cancer is a big issue here in Australia and sunscreens are supposedly highly regulated. Love your content! 😊

For those dark skinned people wondering about biossance. I’m medium-deep skinned tone. I use biossance. I’ve used it for two years. It’s starts out like a white cast, and after rubbing it in, it does disappear after about one-two min. I do rub it out of my eyebrow hair. It does rub out easy.

Colorescience mineral Flex (tinted) 50 I’ve been using for more than a year now and I have to admit that it is just fantastic for my very sensitive pale skin. The colour blends super and so well that I can re apply layers over the day without any un comfort nor marks, etc, and doesn’t sting at all. Very surprised how it does deliver all aspects no harm for the environment. Thank you for the review always useful should I need to change! 😊

I’m so glad that you mentioned colorscience! I would be interested in their opinion although they may have commented in a previous video. I love it. I also have pale skin so I use the fair skin tone version. As I have a lot of oil still in my 70-year-old skin, I was looking for a product to combine a sunscreen and some color. It helps me use less foundation, which was my goal. I do set it with a little powder and finishing spray, but because I still have good oil in my skin, I do have to blot it during the day. You definitely cannot say that all older people have dry skin, that is a myth. lol!

Great video Docs-especially SPF 101. As someone with deeper skin, the visible light benefits of tinted SPF to combat hyperpigmentation are clutch (and adding ectoin + niacinamide as the cherry on top) 🍒

I use almost solely korean sunscreens, and I know this may be an unpopular opinion but I wish they'd make one that wasn't dewy...I personally prefer a matte finish but I still choose the Korean over others..

i use innisfree’s sunscreens (both the classic and mineral versions). They’re both matte finish!

I'm so curious to see what your original recommendation for an active sunscreen was!!

I am outside in sweaty conditions frequently and prefer baby sunscreen to active sunscreen. It doesn't run into my eyes, and on the off chance that it does, it doesn't sting. The ones I use are water resistant for 80 minutes, which is a reasonable reapplication time for me.

Paula’s Choice Super Light Wrinkle Defense SPF 30 is an excellent mineral sunscreen for light to medium skin tones. Light tint, silky texture, very soothing, very effective.

Try Skinnies!! Their sports one called “conquer” is the best I used ever - and no white cast! ☀️ and the SPF 30 is brilliant too.

I have been using, and I love the dermatology, sunscreens both the tinted and untainted universal sunscreen, but I definitely will look into a couple of the Korean ones. I was wondering what your thought is on whether or not using sunscreens can contribute to hair loss? I was reading a report on that and wasn’t sure of the validity of it.

Love the video but I dont know Dr maxfield is getting more and more handsome and I have to turn off the lighting on my computer and just listen to the audio bc he is very distracting. I dont see how he can practice medicine without his patients going crazy..wow

Dr. Maxfield would love the CVS store brand SPF 50 Clear Zinc Lotion!! As an oily tan runner, it blends in pretty well, dries down matte, and is water resistant for 80 minutes. On top that, it’s super affordable at under $10 (at least in AZ lol)! I highly recommend!

Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture Airyfit Daily Sunscreen is wonderful. It absorbs nicely and is great under foundation. It’s reasonably priced and comes in a pump tube that pulls out every bit of the product (no waste!)

You guys should check out Jack Black Oil Free Sun Guard SPF 45! It’s great for the heat of the summer because it’s 80 minutes water and sweat resistant. It’s a hybrid sunscreen that leaves no white cast. I of course prefer Korean sunscreens but sometimes for the 90 degree days I feel like I sweat them off within 20 minutes of stepping outside just to run errands or commute to work.

I have problems even with non tinted sunscreen, there are some that live this yellow mark in more light color clouths, and its very hard to take off that mark during a normal wash. I use a gel that is used for automobil oil stains, and it works very well. The gel smell is very strong, so be carefull using it.

Loved this video! I don’t leave my bathroom without sunscreen. I always joke (but not really…) that my face is in danger. I learned so much. I have been obsessed with sunscreen for years and had no idea that there was such a thing as hybrid. Elta MD is in my rotation, but Colorescience is my go-to. I prefer mineral sunscreen on my face & chemical sunscreen on my body. Don’t love the smell of chemical sunscreen on my face. Thoughts on Colorescience? For the no tint on my white collars I use tinted mineral sunscreen on my face and untinted on my neck. To remove I love Clinique take off the day too & the Ordinary cream to oil cleanser. So easy for travel. Have you guys tried it? Thank you again for your amazing channel. It’s the only one I truly trust for skincare advice.

When I sat outside all day for the solar eclipse last April, I forgot sunscreen for my arms, but used the Neutrogena Hydroboost as usual. My arms were roasted, but my face wasn't even pink in any way. That stuff really works. 😂
