UKZN ROCKS! I graduated from there. These make me tear up all the time, as I am now. I think back to when I brought my mom and late gran to my own graduation. Most of us struggled through with only God's grace and no money. So yeah celebrating in this manner is absolutely called for!

Im a ukzn alumni... I know what it takes.. The professors allow it because they know how we struggle to get thru each year, protests, no food, no money, no res, the racism.. The priviledged lot will never understand because they don't even see you in a lecture room with torn clothes while they have surplus that they don't even wear... But we are not talking about that now... Let them celebrate.let us beam with pride as we see yet another Black or Zulu or Xhosa or any colour/tribe child rise above it all

Kuyanyiwa ke Mtase this side, be ready to put in the hours, sacrifice your sleep and sometimes write your exam is tears because everything on the question paper looks like a foreign language 😂
