Wow! This one had it all. Three class III rapids, numerous fun riffles, amazing scenery with steep canyon walls, and add to that a great group of people with the Flathead Valley Paddling Society in all kinds of water craft on a beautiful day . . . and goats! Nothing was left out here and a great time was had by all.

Thanks, it was indeed (both spicy and beautiful)! The packraft is worth it just to get to experience being inside those sheer wall canyons. Am I convincing you to get one?!😉

Immensely enjoyed the scenery from your POV, as if I was riding along with you. Looks like some gorgeous time to be on the Middle Fork. Thanks for taking me along. Now be honest, did you go for a swim too? And we didn't get a chance to see it? 😉😁. A friend of mine in Whitefish has just ordered a float raft, primarily for fishing, and I'm itching to travel up and help him break it in.

The Middle Fork is my favorite float. But next time you have to include the Spruce Park and Three Forks rapids which are the most exciting on the whole river. They really aren't too dangerous as long as you scout out your line first.
