Lots of nice folders with great features. However, you missed one of the most important features that we, as the consumer, often need. That's customer service or service after the sale. Some of these companies are falling short on this important feature. I would much rather spend my money on a "Lesser" bike from a company with excellent customer service!

I have an ENGWE L20 2.0. Paid 699.00 have had it over 28mph....21-80 mile range , dual suspension....I like my bike a lot. Especially for the money...

I love the XP Lite it is so light and nimble. My wife and I love going on bike rides together, it is one of our favorite hobbies.

I've had several e-bikes and I was looking for one that was small enough to fit two in the back of our 2017 Chevy Volt. I found one on Amazon, that is currently (May '24) about $500 including shipping,. "Vivi M026TGB 26" Folding Electric Mountain Bike with 500W Motor, 48V". I was skeptical as it sounded too good to be true, but I was surprised how good they are. I like the fact that they are full size 26" with full suspension. They fold up nicely, look pretty sharp, and the battery seems to give a solid 20 miles of range, which is really my limit before my butt gets too sore. :) I was used to paying over $1,000 (closer to $2,000) for our e-bikes and was surprised how OK these were at such a low price.

I have a Ride1up Portola for my wife and the Engwe L20 2.0 for my 6 foot self. We love them both. The Portola is strong but the 52volt Engwe is an absolute beast for hills. Skip Amazon and buy direct though.

Nothing else would fit in my cramped Honda Accord Hybrid trunk, so Lectric Lite was the best choice for me (and I wasn't about to pay Brompton prices!).

If you need to fold down to get on the subway or perhaps a city apartment, brompton is the best and smallest folding bike.please review their ebike as well as the carbo model s (350 w) which is also lightweight while offering a bit more power than a brompton

Love your thorough reviews. The Heybike Mars 2.0 1000W with hydraulic brakes is brand new and starts shipping 6/18/24. I just ordered one last week. I would love to see this compared with any other bike, folding or not. I haven't seen 1000W bikes under $1500 and am very interested in you and your fan base's opinion.

The 750W version did a solid job, so we expect the 1000W version to be generally faster. We're not sure if Heybike will send us one yet, but we'll see what happens.

Definitely try the Aipas A2 for $699 or less. I have been reading that is a rebadged letric with more features and power. I’m curious to how it does on your next test

You should also look at Dahon. They have two Ebike versions. I have had a couple of their regular folder bikes over the past 20 years. Excellent quality. US company.

The Gocycle G4i should be reviewed if the Brompton is. Also, the new Gocycle CXi & CX+ Family Cargo electric bikes, with a total load of 480 pounds, while itself weighs 50.0 pounds. (Gocycle is not for the bargain hunter, but neither is Brompton. Must be a UK thing!)

It would be nice if you discussed the brakes. Did any of those have mechanical calipers? I wouldn't consider anything without hydraulic brakes.

The Heybike Mars and Aventon Sinch.2 have mechanical disc brakes. Generally speaking, we opted to leave brakes out, as 95% of bikes have effective brakes to start, and those that end up on our Best list are sure to perform well.

Would have been nice if you guys included the Electric XP Trike model. It’s a folding trike made by LECTRIC and really great deal at $1,499. It’s great for those of us, like me, that have limited mobility and prefer the stability and in this case the convenience a folding e-trike offers. Perhaps an E-trike review coming soon?

Hopefully they get out the reverse trike with independent suspension, they don't tip over like a normal trike and much safer and incredibly smooth comfortable ride on the back when going over bumps!

@@ElectricBikeReport out of the box I liked speed, torque, distance, dual suspension, seat and easy to assemble. I am 250 and has no issues. Price tag was nice as well.

@@ElectricBikeReport It`s brilliant at climbing hills and it is a big bike better suited to someone like me who is six feet four in height and it costs $799 , so what`s not to like and it it goes up to 29mph depending on how much you weigh

What about the Magicycle Jaguarundi? 750W Motor, 48V Battery, 50 Mile Range Class 2 folding bike. Cost ~$1,300.

The Evelo dash always gets missed. It's more expensive, but with mid drive and a belt, it's higher quality.

I have an Evelo, the carbon belt took it over the other options. No grease, and I hardly ever have to charge it with my “last mile” commute

Very bad experience with my lectric 3.0 first when I got it I had the battery stolen off my porch then the range that I was getting with it was only 10 to 12 miles on PAS one and then it fell out of my semi truck and hit the ground and broke in half Cracked right up the hinge. I bought a used 2.0 and absolutely loved it. Something about the components with the 3.0 just aren’t as good. I now have the rad expand five and it is the best bike by far over lectric. Long-haul trucker and I have to have a bike that folds to keep it in the cab passenger seat of my truck so I can go on rides I get in a good 50 to 75 miles a week.

@@ElectricBikeReport no, I've been riding a super73, but I've been in the market for more of a work bike, that possibly folds, and that Engwe is definitely at the top of my list. My priority from experience is battery size, followed by dual suspension, with some potential of portability if at all possible lol. There are also a car uple 60 ah folders on the market I'm interested in as well

What about the Hovsco Hovbeta? Its been out over a year and has a torque sensor, 750 watt hub motor, Class 3 speeds and hydraulic brakes! Essentially an Aventon Sinch 2 on steroids! Get on with it now!

@@quantumfx2677 It is still far more powerful than the Sinch 2's 500w motor and packs 85Nm of torque! People reviewing this bike literally almost wheelie off the moment they engage the throttle on this thing!

Folding bikes should not make a person look like a circus Bear on a bike. Yet be light for a lady to manage it into a minivan.. 12 ah is fine but a strong 75 Nm or so. Hydraulic brakes and suspension great lights front and rear.. a comfy seat. Not much to ask for in the $700 range..

You had one small mistake on the Sinch. It can be unlocked in the Aventon app to 25mph. Not quite 28, but better than 20.

What a joke. You pass this video off as real analysis, but it's so obvious that it was just an advertisement for every one of these bikes. I've had many different folding ebikes over the years. And there are obvious attributes and deficiencies of each. You did a prospective buyer absolutely no service. You never addressed any weaknesses or deficiencies of these models. So buyers out there beware, this is not the channel that gives any worthwhile information. Even if I wanted one of these bikes, I would definitely not click on your affiliate link because you don't deserve it. Shame on you.

Yeah, it's a joke that they jump straight to the 2024 audacity when they haven't reviewed a folding e-bike that's been out over a year that's essentially the superior version of the Aventon Sinch 2. Sad to see the Hovsco Hovbeta being the overlooked, overshadowed black sheep despite being an Aventon Sinch 2 on steroids.
