I wanted to follow up with another comment about this wonderful bike. I've purchased the gravel version and have been on about 4 rides thus far. My longest one was yesterday at 31 miles with some elevation gain, about 1250 feet. I have an average speed on 15.4 mph and had 10 percent battery remaining. I have done this ride many times years ago as a bike leader when I was in better physical shape. I used pedal assist 4 and 5 about 15% of the time because of the hills. I will say that I noticed a difference between 0 assist and 1 and 2 assist. I used pedal assist 2, 70% of the time. As I get in better shape I assume the battery needs will decrease along with my need for the pedal assist modes. I also adjusted the current limit mode to 9 amps. This might help a bit with current usage. This bike does exactly what I wanted out of an electric bike. The derailleur works great and gives me a chance to do some work! I have been using my standard way of using a derailleur as I did with my road bike along with the pedal assist. It's a combination of shifting and using pedal assist that gives me a break when I get too tired and want some assistance from the friendly motor. If felt pretty cool passing some folks on Strawberry Hill road in pedal assist 5! Not bad for an old man of 70! Of course I was also wearing my Gumby and Poky bike shirt. So folks may have thought I was just a lad. In summary. If you enjoy cycling and like me and have not been on a bike consistently for a few years, this is the bike for you! Where in the world can you get a carbon bike for this price! As a note, I have not used this bike for gravel rides yet. I have a road bike and wanted a gravel bike for the Lake Champlain islands in Vermont and other spots for gravel rides. Thanks again for all your work. I hope this helps other folks with their decisions.

I wish you and all influencers would stop doing reviews on preproduction units! Its not really a review is it? Its a preview of what could be, but its not a final product and for a channel who starts by saying you do more testing than the others....... You sure are doing bad testing by using preproduction models and you get a thumbs down on this video from me!

Hi Jon, Enzo here, creator of Vinci Motorbike. I understand your concern about preproduction reviews. I want to assure you that the bike shown in the video is 99% similar to what we ship today. The minor differences are typically small adjustments based on ongoing testing and user feedback to ensure the best quality.
@ElectricBikeReportКүн бұрын
Unfortunately, we don't have control over the bikes that are sent to us. We're not huge on pre-production models either. In the Vinci's case, as we understand, our test bike was part of the first production run.

I’m looking at either the Aventon ramblas or the radpower radster. I need a bike that can do errands as well as go off road. I have a 23lb dog that I need to be able to transport at times, which I use a tow behind trailer for. I also use the trailer for errands when panniers just won’t do. This is my main form of transportation. The Radster is more than 10lbs heavier than the Ramblas. I’m wondering what to think about that. I use a non-electric mountain bike now but I’m getting up there in years and and thinking this will be a easier solution for my transportation needs while staying on a bike. I live in a small high elevation mountain town and this will be winter transportation as well. Any opinions or experience between these two models would be greatly appreciated.

Forgive my question: But it was stated a couple of times in the video that the Vinci has a low center of gravity (CG). Visually that seems doubtful. With other ebikes that have the weight of their battery supported on the seat tube they would seem to have the advantage of a lower CG than this model? Anything I'm not appreciating here?
@ElectricBikeReport8 сағат бұрын
There are a couple of factors coming into play. First, the Vinci sits lower than most moto/moped-style e-bikes we've tested, so its center of gravity is naturally lower. Most of those bikes had their batteries mounted above the top tube. We didn't mention it in the video, but there's also the front-back distribution of weight to consider, with the Vinci having most of its weight toward the rear, which likely also helped in areas like the brake test. You're right that bikes with batteries mounted lower (on the seat tube or down tube) would have lower centers of gravity, but we weren't really comparing the Vinci with many of those.
