I imagine a few people will mention this same thing: the Essence changes stability very quickly with a little wear on it.

In my experience the passion flies like a longer buzz. Great fairway driver.

I definitely agree with the stock runs. The Test Flight was straighter and stock had a little more bite to it. Similar for me to the Buzzz.

In Neutron, the Rhythm is actually one of MVP's least consistent discs for me. Some are definitely more stable than others (more like -1, 2), but I think that newer ones are more accurate to the flight numbers. If you want a Rhythm with more dome and understability, pick one up in fission plastic. They're very good for distance and control. Also, the Essence seasons in great and Discmania gives it very good glide. Great vid as always!

I probably have a new one! Flies really close to my Discraft Cicada! I have a Fission Rhythm and I found it to be a little straighter and more torque resistant than the Neutron. Love it for forehands and has just a smidge more dome.

There are so many discs in this slot that I’ll be doing another video with some of the other. Maverick, Drift, Leopard3 will probably be in the next one!

I just got a Neutron Rhythm, already loving it over my 10+ speeds. Deadly straight at low speed, nice Hyzer-flip at high speed. What do you like yours for and how much did the flight change with wear?

Yeah, review the essence again after 10 tree hits. Something about that neo plastic beats in really quickly. I’d bet you’ll find it to be similar to the rhythm after 1-2 weeks.

I am planning to bag the Rhythm in Fission at 168g for precisely what was demonstrated in the review: hyzer flips on technical wood holes. Thanks for the reassurance.

They are good! I have heard the newer runs tend to fly correct while older runs might need to hit a few brick walls 😅

I have 2 different Essences and they fly very different. One is more like the stability shown in this video, possibly even more, and the other is much less stable. Definitely some variation in every mold. Love all 3 of these discs, really comes down to feeling in the hand in a lot of ways. They each feel very different. Personally, I like the neutron and fission combo for the Rhythm.

Feel is so underrated when selecting discs! Like I want to like the Essence on forehand, but the Neo was just too domey. Had a Meta Essence that was a smidge flatter and it was perfect…. Until I threw it into a lake.

Neutron Rhythm is a bit US, but the Fission ones are not. Essence beats in quick to a perfect US fairway. Passion has a, not mentioned, weird ass bulbous bead on the edge that feels awful for most people, but good for others. Long story short, I own and have throw all three, Essence all day everyday. Fission Rhythm is also great, just for different things.

Were some of those shots at Cass Benton? Always good comparison vids! What weight were you throwing the Rhythm in? I'm looking for something in that slot, and I'm curious how light I should be looking to flip well, and how heavy to not worry about it not coming back once it does...

I may have to pick a Rhythm up at some point. I use a Crave as my stable flier in the 7 range and originally was using an Underworld for my understable 7 speed but it is just too flippy now, and just not usable on forehand. I think they rhythm may be what I am looking for to slot between those two. I have the new Lat64 Royal Brave that needs to get put through its paces first though as it may have that kind of slightly understable flight too. If only the weather would cooperate a bit.

I miss the Underworld, might have to revisit it! How does the Crave fly for you and which plastic do you throw? I have the Crave in Proton, Plasma and Fission that I’ll be dropping a review on this winter. I find the Rhythm to fly in between the Proton (most understable) and Fission (slightly understable). While the Plasma is flat and holds torque really well!

@@CheatingLeftyDiscGolf I bag a Neutron Crave. It flies pretty much dead straight for me with a slight fade finish, but it is still quite new. As I get comfortable with it I feel like it is one of my most controllable discs and I can see myself using it a ton in tight woods courses. I have been bagging it over the Opto River I had in that slot. The Crave just holds up better on forehand and is more comfortable in hand overall. The Latitude 64 Brave looks like a less domey River and the Royal plastic is incredible so I am hoping it lands in that slightly understable slot. If not I will check the Rhythm out.

I'm surprised the MVP/Axiom is the flippiest of the lot. I would be interested to see how it compares to the Drift (same numbers), which in their translucent plastic holds pretty stable for me.

In my opinion the passion is more comparable to an S-line FD, I haven't had the same experience with a beat in essence, my 3 year old max weight flies a touch less stable than a brand new one. However in a plastic other than Neo maybe it differs.

I can’t wait to try the FD! I have it in C-Line but man it wasn’t what I was expecting at all 🫣. But heard the S-Line are a lot straighter and truer to their numbers. Might do a FD, Passion, Explorer video.

Passion feels too deep for me and a kept grip locking it. Used a power grip. Gotta use power grip above speed 7

Drift Proton, Crave Proton, Maverick Lucid? rhythm looked like it had less glide.

Fission Rhythm tends to have a little bit more glide, but Crave (my domey Proton) and Maverick definitely have more. Might have to do a video comparing all of them! How does the Drift compare to them?

Try to pickup a new swirly rim Proton insanity. Mine is more stable and torque resistant then the old ones. It 4hands really good and still gets some turn on Back hand. Very Similar to my old big z vulture.

The rythm flew like my relay and seems like MVP is not making any more relays i can't find any. I love throwing it low so it lands flat in it's turn so it skips straight. Very good for late gaps in the woods. Or aim at a tree and turn around it

I am loving the Insanity! Have a Neutron in the mid 160g that is fighting the Heat in my bag. Also a new Proton that as you said handles torque really well! Love that for forehand shots. And if I need insane beef….. Halloween Eclipse 😂

@@CheatingLeftyDiscGolf yeah mine is 172 but I noticed yesterday it doesn't have as much glide as my vulture. I hope your enjoying these warm day's and creating some videos. I really like my dx thunderbirds too just for Back hand. They fly very similar to the rythm. Try a 170-175 dx thunderbird. It's only 9 dollars and really good to have if it rains

Have you tried the Zen II? I’ve found that disc to push farther forward than the stock Neo Essence.

@@CheatingLeftyDiscGolf that's fair... In the guitar KZfaq space, KZfaqrs get early access to film and release on planned release dates to hit the hype train hard on release day. I guess it's different in disc golf KZfaq
