I pulled up quite a few of these types of videos before coming across yours. A lot of them have bot "reviews" that don't amount to shit. Yours has actual people asking legit questions and getting good responses. Plus, I like that you sifted through the crap and gave us two good free options. In my case, I formatted over my college flash drive (that had my resumes on it) because I wanted to put my ps3 games on it. I was probably drunk lol. Basically, I thought I could put games on it and still have my resumes and class stuff. I was wrong! But because I had put data over my "old" data, I essentially corrupted the files I wanted. Still, I was able to recover a lot of movies so it wasn't a total loss. And here I am drinking again, so I'll probably make more dumb life decisions. But I'm subbing!

Recuva won't work in my case. After recovery of the files, I was not enabled to read them. But it works for me, Windows File Recovery this time. Nicely done. My advice is to try both methods. One of them should work out for you.

I'm currently scanning my Hard drive for the unallocated space which occured because i installed a windows installation media on my hard drive. May I ask if do i need another hard drive with same disk space to put my recovered files? Or i can recover it on the same hard drive even though my hard drive is a bootable drive FAT32?

I tried the last free method you showed here (Recuva), and while I did get to pull all the files off into another folder most of them didn't work. Is there no way to deal with fixing these corrupted files and restoring them?

I have a MacBook but I also have a windows pc on hand. If I were to try to redownload the files from another computers hard drive, will it work? Being that the files deleted while it was hooked to my MacBook.

My brand new 18tb drive died on me all of sudden, no sign that it was going to happen recuva is the only one that worked for me(though I recovered some(not all) files from the OLD hard drive that I transferred from over to my new drive) unfortunate that it was not able to recover directly from my half-dead drive but whatever, my fault for not backing up important stuff on multiple drives I was skeptical but thank you so much omg edit: drive is a WD red, if you want to avoid it, my first and last time with western digital

My windows was unable to detect my external drive that had the deleted files and after trying everything I was forced to format the drive. Now I'm scanning the drive with recuva and it seems to find few files. Can they still be recovered? I'm worried since any scans won't detect them.

Hey Thanks for this video man but I gotta doubt do I have to format my drive once before recovery? Also the thing is my drive was corrupted on its own so will it recover the data from corrupted drive?

I accidentally used the diskpart clean command on the wrong drive, causing 3TB+ data to be allocated and lost. My drive also is not showing up in File Explorer. I want to try using Recuva, but before I do, what should I do about the drive not being present in the File Explorer?

Im wondering, when it showed you the files you can recover does it show files as 1 by 1 or does it display as folders?

Hey. The images and videos were recovered but any .exe file and setup doesn't work when I click it it says app can't run on this pc. The anti-virus had deleted them. Any other app I can use.

Ohhh thanks a lot dude! I could recover 220k files ==> 400GB . I was about to buy one of those tools but hopefully I found your video. BTW: I never used my External Hard drive before recovering data and I couldn't recover all data because some big files overwrote some others.

Would you know if it would work on a formatted drive? My D: no longer lets me in after a bios update and windows breaking so needed a fresh install, it was a raid set-up of 2x 2tb HDD but when i tried this it said that it couldn't find the drive or something to scan :/

Okay So I recovered 10 videos that i needed but when i click to open them is says file unable to be played how do i fix that?

IDK if this works or not because the problem with my hdd is that it just randomly deleted all partitions and it shows as un allocated disk. Now I know about drives that once they are deleted they still have the data but if anything overwrites it (Creating a new partition) it will remove all data and will render unrecoverable so I can't use this program sadly :(. But I am sure it can help me in other situations for now I have to find another way

What I did on my Samsung phone was I " moved " not coppy the Camera Folder from internal drive to SD card, it was big like 40 gig, half way though something interrupted the transfer and I ended up with missing files and some lost files as " LOST.DIR" in the sd card, i payed $130 for Disk DRill to scan the SD card in the computer and it did nothing. I was able to retrieve my .jpg files but it couldn't retrieve the .mp4 files. It named them .mov files and I couldn't access them. Yes I tried renaming them and I couldn't open them as .mov files either. Has any one upgraded the premium and had better luck? I was happy just to get the .jpg files back. But there was a lot it named; .JPG in upper case that I couldn't access. I also got a lot files in ascii .Just thought I would put the is out there. Thanks again..
