Hi, can you pls share some insights about french door refrigerators. I am looking to buy 500l plus french door model but dont want exceed 650l as i will retain my 400l double door refrigerator. I was looking at Haier, Electrolux, Panasonic and Hitach. Pls share your views and suggest if you have any other brand in mind.

What do you think about lloyd 587 ltr side by side, would it be worth it?

I have been using LG 687 for 4 years now, and extremely happy with it. Got my mother and sister to purchase it as well, and they couldn’t be happier. The price I paid in 2018 was 76K, and those paid in 2022 March was 80k. If you negotiate well at Reliance or Croma, you can get those prices (or you could constantly track them at Amazon) and then ask Croma/Reliance to match price. None of us have a large family. But we like the looks, and most importantly, the fact that you don’t need to bend down to access stuff most of the times, which is usually a problem with double door ones. We are all vegetarians, so we don’t need the freezer as much, but that is an excellent place to store surplus/backup masala etc.

I have a possibly silly question. I'm using a side by side lg from more than 8 years. Thinking that some day I would need to replace it. Would getting two double door refrigerators instead of one side by side refrigerator be a better choice in terms of cost and electricity consuption and space available? (not considering that it will look odd ofcourse and loose the good looks of having a side by side). I do see some good 250 ltrs curd maestro samsung convertibles for close to 22k on the samsung corporate site. I guess if going for 2 double doors, the fridge to freezer might be 80% fridge

Ma'am I have been eyeing the same fridge that you are using are using i.e. the Haier 570 L side by side refrigerator. We are a family of 5 people and require more than average fridge space. However, I have come across people in person and on internet, saying that as a brand it's better to go with LG as the built quality l, reliability and durability of the products by LG is better. Honestly, I have personally visited a few stores to check the difference and no matter which model, I found that Haier has better built quality (I cannot comment of reliability and durability part for obvious reasons) . The inside plastic parts in LG refrigerators felt rather cheap and unusually flexible despite the higher cost. I have used only LG double door refrigerators till now but I intend to purchase a side by side door refrigerator. I haven't always had a decent experience with LG. My last fridge developed cracks all over inside within 4 years. Moreover, LG has no options that I could come across under 650 litres in French door refrigerators which would be too big for me and also they are significantly more expensive. Indian market is dominated by LG because of it being one of the early entrants and being popular among previous generations but I have come across Haier earning respect in the western market even against LG. Hence, I have the following questions- Is Haier well built if compared to other leading brands? How long have you been using it for? Any malfunctions that occurred and how was the customer service response and how much did it cost for service and repair? Can you give a comparative opinion on Haier against LG? Is it a good idea to for Glass front door models against Stainless steel finish models given the stainless steel is a sheet and not true metal? Also, I have two more refrigerators in mind. One is by Bosch on mind. It's a double door however but capacity is great (559L). Felt well built. In India, customers have repeatedly raised issues with Bosch's compressor but this particular model is doing well apparently. Hello, Your videos are undoubtedly very impacting. Recently i have been planning to buy side by side refrigerator. I am confused since i wont spend 60k or more for same. Having said that there are 3 fridges options i could see considering brand image. 1) kelvinator 500l (only available at mahajan electronics) 2) kelvinator 584l 3) panasonic 584l. Can you take some time out and advice if any of these can be considered? Or which one might be best considering budget AND/OR if there is another option you have found recently maybe. Awaiting your response.

I purchased both lg and Samsung 687lts at the same time just 6 months back. Honestly thought they are of same capacity, Samsung holds more item compared to lg because Samsung has more depth inside compared to lg. The inside of lg fridge depth has been cut off because they allocated that extra space for the door storage which I didn’t find useful.
