I'm back a few hours later after reading your words on Minyan. Here with an unrestrained 5 star rave. So low-key, subtle and complex, completing avoiding the gay-in-the closet cliches' you usually see. One of the best films I've seen of any genre in ages.

Tubi has a surprising amount of gay content. I just watched and enjoyed Potato Dreams of America and Chrissy Judy. Out of this list my favorite was Breaking Fast. I loved it.

I LOVE Breaking Fast... I have seen it several times. I look forward to The Swimmer and the film about the Polish artist. I didn't realize those were on Tubi already. Also on Tubi, for sports fans, is HANDSOME DEVIL, a gay themed movie that takes place in a boys private boarding school. Two students, one gay male and a new transfer to the school, an excellent rugby player, are assigned as roommates. An unlikely friendship emerged as a result.

I LOVE Tubi!! It's my go to for gay movies and yes, I've seen and loved ALL of these. I can't pick one as "the best" but Cicada and Breaking Fast made me cry. (I've seen Breaking Fast multiple times.) I have a love/hate relationship with Swimmer too. Yes, there's a lot of male nudity, but the story and final message is challenging to understand. I'd watch it again. I also like From Zero to I Love You, The Cakemaker, Say Yes, Baby Steps, and And Then We Danced. Tubi also has all of the "Where the Bears Are" and "Eating Out" series.

Tubi is my absolute favorite streaming platform. SOOOOOOO many gay films, probably one of the largest, most varied catalogues, certainly for free. I have discovered movies I didn't even know existed. Many Latin-American films are also there. Definitely worth it.

I Loved MONSOON and BEAUTIFUL SOMETHING. Monsoon was understated and moody, and really pulled me in. Beautiful Something was so beautiful and heartfelt, an all-time favorite. The only movies in this vid I haven't seen, but want to now, are The Swimmer and All Our Fears.

I have watched Beautiful Things more times than I can count. The 'beautiful thing' is the film itself. The info that Rotten Tomatoes gives it a 50% rating is a total mystery to me. It gives a realistic view of many aspects of gay culture: older gay men, younger gay men, men you enjoy sex for sex and men who incorporate sex part of their total being. It is wonderfully written with giving each character a full identity. These are not two dimensional characters. If you have not watched it, do your queer a$$ the favor of doing so.

So much gay trauma but I have watched a number of films on Tubi. I continue to stay away from gay trauma as much as possible. I did watch "Cicada" and thought it wasn't bad. If a gay film is going to go interracial, I do appreciate they made an attempt to address the very obvious differences. I still have not been able to get through "Monsoon" it is so slow and I'm not sure the destination is going to be worth the journey. I've also seen "Breaking Fast" and thought the short film was far superior to the feature film. The actors in the short were so much better and more believable without all the "extras" added to the full length film. I like that Tubi has so many gay films, I only wish they didn't skew to the sad, gay trauma route so much.

I've seen Monsoon before... I wouldn't say I hate the film, but it doesn't feel like a complete gay film. It seems more like a beautiful film where a straight actor wants to play gay character to possibly get an award minus true gay intimacy, which is the main ingredient of a great gay dramatic/romantic film. I've seen Breaking Fast as well. I liked getting a taste of the Muslim culture but am tired of gay films where one of the members of the interracial couple has to be White. We can change that up a bit and get different stories... much like Monsoon tried to do, but they needed actual intimacy between the characters. The Swimmer and Beautiful Something sounds interesting.

I am just wondering if tubi is such a good channel to watch or support LGBTQIA+ movies, since it’s an emanation of Fox. Isn’t Fox the American most supportive press organ for Trump, who was / is / will be the most anti-LGBTQIA+ president USA has / will ever endured ? Who cares about rotten tomatoes scores at this point everyone knows those scores are easily manipulated by people who don't actually watch the movie but will give it a bad rating because of their feelings based around what the subject matter is. Rotten tomatoes means nothing at this point

Victor, I happen to LOVE Tubi, and watch it something on it at least three times a week. Personally, I have already decided to do away with Netflix, before the end of the year, especially since they plan on raising their fees yet again, before the end of the year, and I have received two or three Emails with petitions about Netflix regarding continuing misogyny. I look forward to watching these movies on Tubi, as soon as I can.
