I just found my dog. He got out around 11pm thru the side gate of the house. I was helping my parents temporarily move in and had all the doors open and forgot to shut the side gate. Luckily.......... after almost 3 hours of aimlessly driving up and down streets with a flashlight I found him prancing his happy ass back towards the house. Maybe it's true they usually find their way home but I DO NOT wanna go through that again. I got super lucky. Definitely gonna do some hw and get him a GPS collar

We have the Tractive GPS device and I must say that it works very well. I've watched my wife walk our dog and could see their progress as they walked. It was very close to were they were at the time. And when we go up to the lakes in the summer, it will follow him, in the car with a progress line as we go. It will also tell me how much active he's doing each day. We've had it about 2 years now and an happy with it. Just my view.

Good luck finding your dog. We found our cat today. He was missing 17 days. We found him by leaving a poster at a near by camp site. We went to all near by restaurants and clubs etc with posters. He had a findster tracker on... I do not reccomend. Battery ran out and had bad accuracy

I have tried many Tile pro’s. I have four dogs and the Tile Pro is still not durable for use on an active dog. The concept is great for leaving on a dogs collar, in case, they get lost. I just wish they made it a bit tougher.

Thank you so much for this video I love in a country neighborhood with a lot of mountains and trees and caves etc. and I’m getting a new puppy in a month we already have two dogs one never ones away or leaves the property but the other one runs away which caused us to get gates but he runs to his brother who is our neighbors dog but it is impossible to tell where this dog will run. @@mariebossard1640 It’s fantastic. Though the hooks that attach the GPS device to the collar are pretty weak and can break easy if your dog is a large breed or pretty strong at that. Other than that, amazing collar!

It took me quite a while to finally figure out how to swap collars. Because the product came completely assembled, I was unable to see what I was working with clearly. Considering that this is all plastic does not bode well at all. I watched probably ten other reviews HOPING that someone would upload the “how to” on a real product, and not a cartoon. The only thing I walked away with from those reviews was concern about the plastic housing, connections and severe warnings NEVER TO USE the GPS Collar on a Leash.... EVER, they warned, over and over and over... I concur. I’m quite discombobulated to finally understand how this part works. Understandably, most folks pointed to this being Version #1 released into the Real World, and so... yeah... DO NOT USE the GPS Collar on a leash... Like EVER.

@@grey.fox. I think you have a TYPO... Verizon is probably Version, but you didn't complete your thought... Your message seems garbled, and perhaps you read too quickly? I stated that when I tried to swap collars, it was a complete nightmare and the cartoon demonstration was not helpful in the swap. Granting that these are put together when they arrive in the box, you really don't have the sense of just how tenuous the hold is, and how easily the plastic can break from the proprietary end links. I went all over the place looking for better information, and finally located other Users who had uploaded their own videos, and that proved helpful, but overall still frustrating. Fi is definitely still a work in progress. Keep in mind the cost of the equipment $150, Annual Subscription $99 and then if you want to actually trust you won't lose the GPS Module on the original "in line" collar that comes in the box...then you'll have to invest in a new collar from special vendors who are authorized to sell them. (proprietary end links) These 3rd party Vendors are called "Makers," and for my dog, this is an additional $65-85 amount to spend. When discussing which system gives the best bang for the buck, that's pretty important, and you really aren't aware of that going in. The APP is ok, but requires WIFI for the collar to use less battery. Battery life connected to my cell wifi lasts just over 2wks. You don't want it to run down far past 40% in case your dog takes a jog.

The collar did fall off in the yard once... disconcerting! Many Users report that the Module has disconnected from the links, causing them to be lost... this is how the "Maker" Vendors were brought in... their design allows the GPS Module to rest on top of the collar.

The GPS variants, but keep in mind, it will be limited by connectivity to that GPS network. The more data points the device has to triangulate location, the easier it is to find the host.

Don't buy the Whistle Dog Tracker, you're wasting your money. It doesn't work on many levels and definitely doesn't work in Canada. It's locked for the US to use only. It's 3 minute interval updates on where your dog is as well which is extremely slow to track an animal. Do your own research before buying any of these recommended ones on KZfaq for your pets safety. ☺️

I doubt other trackers are accurate and trustworthy. Mine, a tractive has 50 meters of accuracy, when it works. Mostly it is offline. Piece of garbage.

I won't sell it even though it's expensive and I still have the box. When I go to clean out my stuff that's going in the trash. The power can be dialed up and down to nearly nothing. They are a very good tool for reinforcing your commands to the dog. You don’t have to make it hurt for them to understand the point. But if the situation ever occurs where they violate a serious misbehavior you can immediately correct it. These are excellent tools used by world class dog trainers to make world class working/hunting dogs. But a tool is only as useful as the handyman holding it!

3G devices are pointless. Those towers are being shut down and repurposed for newer technology. Any 3G device should not be on a list like this FYI!

Mine is the “Whistle 3” not the one shown here. It’s a previous model compared to the “GO Explore” and can go up to 7 to 12 days just depending on what they are doing/ staying in WiFi mode (less battery) instead of wireless data which drain the battery much quicker. It’s 9.99 a month and give you huge piece of mind to know where to find them if they do escape and/or become lost. I have 2 huskies and they are escape artists, so this is very necessary to have it on them at all times.
