Sweet walk through and review. Guess what i got from my girls for Christmas.😍 Only tested it once so far but i think its super comfy and enough light that felt more sharp in the snow than my old one. Ceep it coming.🙂

Its the ultra with a hybrid case so i can use AAA if needed

Can’t fault this head torch, used it on a hundred miler with the bigger battery, mostly on 200 lumens and jumping up to 550 on thick forest with lots of roots or more technical ground. The strap is really comfy and easy to adjust.

Is the ultra battery a bit too heavy for the head strap? Looks like it might bounce around a lot. Wavering between hybrid and ultra.

Hey Alan, you do notice the difference, but it’s not been a problem for me. I’m not a fan of the material pouch that keeps the battery in place though and my go to set up is hybrid. However, if you want it for the occasional long night run the I’d go for the ultra.

Wonder if the battery connector is compatible with the older version. The lamp unit was bit fragile in the older version.

I guess the 50 lumen would be very useful when looking down at a map. No good your eyes adapting to a very brightly lit map and then having to wait for your eyes to slowly readapt to the dimly lit surroundings. Yep seasonal greetings all.
