As a volleyball player this is so appreciated thanks man. I personally use the GT Jump because I've found that when jumping so much I want as much bounce and impact protection as possible. However, basically any shoe with a zoom unit in it is gonna be great

I also enjoyed playing volleyball in the PG 6. It does not provide the best cushioning but still good enough and the traction is just amazing.

I’ve been playing volleyball my entire life and have been training volleyball players for the last 7 years so have seen a lot of different shoes. I think this video is GREAT and I’d also add that volleyball players need minimal heel-toe drop and somewhat thinner, sturdier soles so they can stay planted and have good ground feel. For that reason, my personal favorites have been the Curry Flow line. Played in a few of the Curry 9’s and have been playing in the 10’s since the first ones dropped last year. The grip, weight, and bounce (carbon fiber shank inside) are unmatched. They aren’t very squishy, but as an outside hitter, I don’t need that. I want shoes that are extremely responsive. I train my body to handle the impact of the sport, and I shouldn’t be using my shoes to ‘protect’ me because in reality they’re just taking away from my explosiveness if they’re too squishy. Just putting this out there in case others find it helpful! It’s hard to try on shoes nowadays, but if you can give yourself the opportunity to try on a pair, DO THAT.

Coming from a fan who plays a lot of basketball and volleyball, this is a much needed and helpful list. There’s a lot of crossover between the needs for shoes in both sports, and I always wear hoop shoes when I play volleyball. I also recommend the Nike Kyrie infinity’s for volleyball as well, since they’re light weight, have good lateral containment, and have good bounce due to the strobel unit in the forefoot, and zoom unit in the heel. However, the impact protection isn’t excellent since the rest of the cushion isn’t great.

In my experience; the WOW shoes, lebron 20 and NXXTs are all phenomenal for volleyball

As a volleyball player, these are the hoop shoes shoes I've seen players use most (ranked by popularity): 1) Jordan 36. 2) PG6. 3) Giannis immortality. 4) wow 10. 5) kd14. 6) lebron 20.

Yep I’m a non basketball player always looking out for your vids about point guards as the shoes have a lot of cross overs with what we need. I’m always on the lookout for a shoe video to have an add on “volleyball players, this is good for you” so that’s a suggestion!

Pg6 for me. I play volleyball almost everyday and I own 3 pair of pg 6, 1 pair of the pg 1 and 2. Lebron 20 I have 2 pairs as well and I love them just as much.

As a volleyball player and basketball fan this is great content to see! I've been using basketball shoes for almost 2 years now because I think engineering and design overall is better in basketball shoes, in volleyball shoes you always get the same in a couple of different colors and that's it. I switch between Dame 8 and DON Issue 4 for both playing and training, feel better jumping in the Dames and better moving fast in the DON 4. I find difficult to find the perfect basketball shoe for volleyball tho, as positions in volleyball and basketball differ a lot, if you want good traction you will get a PG shoe but usually those doesn't have great impact protection which a volleyball player needs a lot, then you get a Center shoe for great impact protection but traction might be no good and so on with different aspects of the shoes and the game jajajaja

I've been playing in the Lebron NXT Gen and i prefer these over the Lebron 20 as they are thinner materials and not as bouncy. The NXT Gen feels faster as is not as bouncy.

As a VB player I'd add the PG shoe line if you are a setter since you have to run a little more and still jump As a libero I recommend the Curry line

man finally, I did play volleyball in college (for fun), but because of money and I mainly played basketball, I played in a kyrie 3 hahahaha. that's horrible, my knees and back were hurting so much. Later I was asked to be the libero tho, so that's help. although in sparring session I might get the chance to play at the front row. Now, I've got a job and looking for a shoe to have fun with and won't kill my knees and back, thank you!

Yo if you shoppin fo new vb shoes go for the bron 20s I just got them and they straight gas they feel so good on feet and the bounce and cushioning is top tier they are on the pricy side but worth it 100%

The Adidas Dame 8 is also a very good shoe for volleyball
