'Se7en' is one of the best thrillers of all time. 'Candyman' is amazing.Very underrated.

Audition is my absolute favourite horror movie of all time! The way it starts off as a cheeky rom-com and then slowly twists into a surrealistic nightmare.... just brilliant. Glad to see it on your list!!

Silence of the Lambs is one of the best horror films from this decade for me. I know some (probably including you) don't consider it horror but I do and it is just a masterpiece. The casting was perfection and it was honestly disturbing at times as well.

The Faculty is a guilty pleasure horror movie of mine. I'm not ashamed to admit either. Great cast, too.

I was born in ‘84 and Scream was the first horror movie I ever saw and it will forever be a classic for me. I was also OBSESSED with The Faculty in my teens. Partially because of Josh but it’s just so so so so so good. Thinking about these two lives reminds me of how annoying my family thinks I am when I recite the lines verbatim. Also LOVE House on Haunted Hill and boo to everyone who doesn’t like it.

I don't know what rock I was hiding under but I finally watched The Sixth Sense this year and loved it! I didn't even know what the twist was and I was totally shocked and also LOVED Toni Collette in it!

Usually, when I talk about horror, it's mainly classic scary movies from the 70s and the 80s, however; there are some 90s horror films that I do love to watch. Misery is my top favorite. Kathy Bates acting is stunning. I'd place her right there with Sissy Spacek when it comes to best performance in a Stephen King adaptation. Also... Wes Craven's Scream franchise and Wes Craven's New Nightmare are my other 90s horror movies.

I just want to say that my favorite “horror movie” is from 1991. The silence of the lambs. I count it as a horror , but TeChNeCly it’s a crime thriller.

Silence of lambs is more of a thriller drama but it has scary elements too. A classic.

I think Audition is probably more disturbing to male audiences. It was also seen at the time as a takedown of dime-a-dozen Romantic Comedy films of that era. Miike is a genius auteur, and this was one of his best.

I love your lists. They inspire me to speak up about some of my favorite films that as aren’t well received. For October I’m doing a list of my 31 favorite horror films from 2000-2019 and I’m finally acknowledging my love for The Ruins, Cry_Wolf and The Haunting in Connecticut. Lol I know...I know .... but I love those movies and I don’t care who knows it.

What a great list ! It hits close to home because I grew up with those films in my teens. It must be impossible for audiences today to actually understand the impact of Blair Witch Project, Sixth Sense or even Seven. My favorite horror film from the 90s would be “Silence of the Lambs” if it can be considered Horror, if not then i’d say Seven.

My personal favs is the Scream trilogy, Child's Play 2, Blair Witch Project, The Faculty, House On Hill remake, Urban Legend, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, Event Horizon, Jacob's Ladder and Candyman. I personally don't count movies like Seven as a horror same with Silence Of The Lambs.

Misery is so fucking good. Almost certainly my first horror movie, even though I didn't even realize it at the time. This was the movie that first made me have that "butterfly" feeling in my stomach that I can recall. I don't even have to describe how abso-fucking-lutely phenomenal Kathy Bates' performance in this movie is. Learning that she was in AHS was actually the main draw for me to watch that show, and some of the seasons with her are easily my favorite. Madam Delphine, bearded lady, and the fuckin Butcher, man. That shit runs deep. I could not ever imagine someone else doing as good a job as she has done in literally ever production she has been a part of. She's the best.

Thank you for mentioning "Jacob's Ladder"- such a great movie and I think alot of people haven't seen it (or even heard of it) unfortunately.... this is one of those movies that requires multiple viewings- you pick up different stuff every time you watch it......

Fun fact: due to Brad Pitt’s tight filming schedule, they HAD TO film in the rain, and didn’t plan on that. Also, when he falls on the car as he’s running on them, he actually cut his face and broke his arm, which is why he is in an arm sling later in the film.

Scream was a double edged sword to a lot of horror fans. On one hand, it helped push for more horror films in theaters during the dry spell of the mid 90s, but it also felt too... Accessible? Maybe that it didn't have the grit or charm of older horror? It was like someone saying, "so you like thrash metal" and putting Enter Sandman on.
