Yess that's right, I just don't think that way is the only way of doing it. I don't like that the foil traps moisture behind the scenes but I do like that the foil reflects heat back in. But the heat from the inside can’t reflect heat back in if you’re putting other materials in front of it like that wool. Your foil will just be a waste, it won’t act as a vapor barrier where it’s located now. Same with the foil on the floor if you put something else on top of it.

Yes, if we have the same budget. If we had an unlimited budget then we would use rigid board insulation and spray foam 😊
