The Icon Under hood Work light from Harbor Freight is amazing! It has 2100 lumens of light output and can be expanded to 4200 lumens. The magentic mounts hold the removable lights nice and snug and allow you to pin point your lighting to where you need it most. Now obviously this thing works amazing under the hood... But my favorite use for this is actually for the interior of the car. This light mounts easily and safely to a cars interior and provides an unbelievable amount of light so you can see everything! As detailers, we focus on lighting for paint corrections and spotting imperfection in the clear coat. But what about the interior? We always rely on whatever natural light is available to us. Well with this Icon Branded light from Harbor Freight, you will never be wishing you had more light when working on the interior of a car... ENJOY!!!

Very nice. I went to clip my magnetic light to the hood on my wife's van a few weeks ago...I forgot that it was aluminum. 🤣 This would be handy under the hoods, interior work, and stereo installs.

I just bought this along with the second light but I didn’t think about using it for detailing I got it because I’m always under the hood of my cars.

Hi Josh 👋🏼 Costco also sells a pair of magnetic lights that are adjustable and put out up to 2000 lumens you could definitely stick them to that bar of yours. They are made by Feit electric ⚡️

This Icon LED lights are made to come close to natural sunlight. That is so it's easy on the eyes, sharper visibility and the best part it eliminate shadows around the engine. HF really nailed it with this one in perfecting an underhood light system that it's high quality which is ICON!

Hey Josh can you test the Big box store soaps to see if they really have ceramic material in them I'm afraid there might be a lot of polymer stuck in there fool the customers. Because bead makers of polymer and it does the same effects as ceramic coating

Can these be used while they are charging? I know it’s not ideal but the run time isn’t the best

Thanks great video. You helped me on my buying one. Have the cheap one your talking about that flips around and have to charge when not using it. But if you can you might have to ask them for it because store didn’t have any on the shelf they had get from the back the Braun 1200 Underhood Chargeable Light. You can use and charge and has hooks on the end. Been waiting for a month for stores to get in stock. Check it out please. Thanks

Yes the icon one is brighter, but I’ve found the clips and the bar are cheaply made, the new 1200 Braun one in my opinion is better, yes not as bright, but the whole unit is stout compared to the icon one
