If you're young, single, and just ready to pay off that music school bill, I highly recommend working as a musicians on cruise ships. Steady pay, free travel, and just a whole lot of fun!

I have a Master's in Music, but I also got an IT-related associate's degree. I get to play a bit and have a good day job in IT. The complicated "deep analysis" mind of a pro musician is perfect for IT. I've even been on a couple interviews, where the manager likes hiring musicians.

There's a job I can definitely NOT reccomend: Being a pipe organ builder. Not only is it physically demanding, but you're out of town pretty often, sometimes for weeks or months on end, which can make planning rehearsals/gigs difficult. I agree on the coroporate event thing: My band usually makes 100-250€ a night. We once played at a bank event, which put 800€ into our account.

Being a pipe organ builder sounds hard! Thanks for warning us against that one. That's amazing! Corporate gigs usually pay out pretty well, so it's a great option for DIY musicians.

I am a musician and I work from home as a mortgage banker or better known as a loan officer. I refinance homeowners loans on their homes. Because the pandemic I haven't driven to work in 2 and a half years. Not a single mile. I do all my work with computer programs and with my internet phone and cell phone. I communicate with co-worker on Discord. To become a loan officer you have to go to school for 2 weeks and pass the state and federal tests. I can work in other state, but I have to pass their unique state test and pay for the license. It's a super easy job once you know what you're doing.
