I made my jump shot 'worse' and turned into a 77 percent shooter in NBA 2K24, and going 90 percent on 3s! In this video, I discuss the mechanics you should be looking at in order to help improve your shooting in the Rec!

The call back to Daryl killed me lol but I role with none “meta” jump shots and go with what works for me and despite have 7, 6’7 builds I find that the jumper finds the build rather than having the same for all. Great content Kevin!

Lmao 6'6 - 6'9 is not a thing. Wings start at 6'5. Also brogdon is 6'10 and under so you can use the base and get some other releases

@@dueces510 if you’re 6’5-6’9 I don’t think switching from TMac is gonna make that much of a difference for you. There’s faster bases but you get contested much more. this video is more for smaller guards IMO because there’s no jumper that negates contests the way TMac does for the swings.

Same.. get a lotta shots contested when using A+ bases. Crazy that you get better results with lower bases like Pat Connaughton, Jarrett Culver, JT Thor and Ben Sheppard. 2k devs are backwards!! Great vid as always K.Cruz da🐐🐐

Yup!! That's why I ain't hopping on that TMac wagon. Too much going on with your base can lead to unwanted outcomes. Brogdon is similar to TMac. But bases like Kyrie, and a lot of others are much smoother, and set faster.

Advanced players are never going to gravitate toward the same jumpers. They're always going to want to find a jumper that fits their own unique playing style. Frames matter a lot more than what the general consensus will acknowledge.

Thats on the person, take 20 of the elite shooter across the league, pro am, stage, etc. out of 20 if not all 17 16 bare min would have that base on. From time to time we ran it either shot 70 or borderline 70 with it. Depending on what blends it should be a catch and swish damn near every time. Right now i'm enjoying the Kobe base again and playing around with the Cam Johnson base every now and then.

Crazy… because I actually made a jumper with Kyrie’s base, but never tested it out because I’ve been playing with the same jumper since season 1. Atp… I’m married to the jumper and don’t wanna cheat on her 😂. I’m a 67% shooter from both the field and 3PT. I say she’s treating me good lol.

I think they did something to shooting, i was at best 35%, now i just made a change in the base, 62%. I cannot say its all me. I changed to D Powell base, catches at his chest, no dip, you are so right.

imma 70% 3pt/fg shooter a jumpsuit I use is Kobe base Upper1 Luka Upper2 Kyle Kuzma max speed and 85/15 blend

Hmmm I never took those aspects into consideration when using Brogdon’s base (dipping the ball, shot base variables when creating a shot, etc.) Might have to go to the lab again

The point of the video is to find the one that fits your playstyle, so if this works for you, then great! I came from Steph base, and it has its own set of drawbacks with the play style I'm trying to perfect with the Chef 2.0 build.

This is whycorner shooters going for high release point is stupid.. Look at a real life example of Naz Reid or Caldwell Pope.. you should be a set shooter instead of a MPJ unless you are REALLY tall
