How to flavor kombucha? I've done it everyway, but using freeze dried fruit and natural pure fruit juice will forever be my go to method! I simply can't believe the difference and how good it is. I let me second Ferment go 48 hrs and then refrigerate.

So excited to try this. I have chronic acid reflux issues. Recently, I read that it has a lot of health benefits and that acid reflux was one of them. I started my first batch this morning.

Those look so yummy! I am fairly new to kombucha but have been brewing my own for a few months now and I love it. I used some strawberry jam that didn’t set when canning so it was really syrupy and added a tablespoon or two to my second ferment and it was so delicious! Drop a cube of ginger in with it too and wow! I loved it so much! At least now I have something I know I can use all that syrup for. I will be trying out the freeze dried fruits as well in my next batch. Thanks for your videos. Love watching you guys!

OMG! I've just started making kombucha, actually Jun and I love it! I've done 3- 2nd fermentation using elderberry syrup, pomegranate juice, some pickled ginger left over from sushi and fresh lavender leaves. Will definitely get freeze dried fruit to try. Thanks for all your Info! 📿

Oh man you had me at the flavor of punch as a kid!! We always made holiday punch at my paternal grandparents house and my aunt had to put in Pineapple sherbet. I have been scared to try kombucha because I have had such a hard time finding flavors I like. But know I have a plan. Thank you thank you and God bless. That kombucha looks beautifully delicious.

Where do you get your pint bottles? And how do you sanitize/clean the bottles? How long will the flavored kombuchas last? In the fridge? In the pantry? I'm intrigued and would love to start making my own. Do you have special recipes that you started with and/or cookbook?

No cookbook, just a KZfaq playlist. Our bottles can be found in our Amazon store (link in video description). I just rinse the bottles and throw in the dishwasher. Flavor doesn't go away. I do the second ferment for 2 days on counter and then move to fridge

I bought the vessel at Walmart but Todd replaced the cheap plastic spigot with a stainless steel one

This is very interesting. I have only had kombucha once and it tasted too much like vinegar to me, I thought it was icky. This stuff looks really yummy! I love fizzy drinks, just not the vinegar/alcohol taste. I never thought about adding fruit juice to it. That might make it doable for me. I’ll have to research further. Thanks!

Seems to always have a bit of a vinegar smell to it, but if made properly it definitely shouldn't "taste" like vinegar.

Yeah I made my own Scoby and it was cheap and I have been brewing for over a year with that Scoby and it works so great! I get amazing kombucha every time! A flavor I really like is strawberry basil! Hope this helped!

Did you fill up the larger bottles with the juice? Also, how long do you do each ferment?

I fill up the larger bottles the exact same way, at least 2/3 kombucha tea and the rest whatever juice I'm flavoring with. The first kombucha tea ferment (once established) goes 7 days then my second flavor ferment goes 48hrs on the counter and then move to fridge.

Just wondering- does the fruit expand and get stuck in those bottles? Maybe they ferment some and break down?

Sometimes they stick a little. Shaking upsidedown gets them out

I typically wait 7 days on the first fermintation then, another 7 days on the second firmintation

Yes I go 7-10 days on initial fermentation and only 2 days on 2nd any longer than that and I fear explosion 😆

Less water less bacteria. normally dried fruit should work too, tho I bet it would be less flavorful.
