You most certainly do have to do an oil change on that lawn mower. Read your manual.

Appreciate the feedback. That mower is still perfect today, last start it was sitting for about 6 months and fired right up! Can’t beat a Honda..

3:12: You DO need to change the oil. "Change the oil after the first month or 5 hours of use. Thereafter, change the oil every 6 months or 50 hours of use. Change the oil more frequently when used under heavy load or high outdoor temperatures."

@@BuiltTough1776 It's cool. Kind of odd Honda thinks you're going to use the mower for 5 hours/month for the first month, then 50 hours in the next 6 months (a little less than 9 hours a month).Well, "whatever" I guess. FWIW, I have a Honda powered pressure washer that, in hindsight, I've neglected oil changes on. The motor has outlasted the pump. Honda builds strong engines. Otherwise, you did a good job showing off this mower. Thumbs up!
@BuiltTough1776
@BuiltTough1776 2 жыл бұрын
@@berkeleygang1834 Yes, Honda does indeed do a good job on almost anything they build! What’s funny is same story for us.. We bought a power washer originally and same thing, the pump went out and replaced it. Pressure washers still stronger and just needed a new mower in the fleet.

Model HRR2166VKA - I do cut when its wet but store my mower in the garage and keep it clean and maintained. My steel deck looks nearly new and it starts on the first pull 15 years later.

Just buy some rubber tires from a parts store. Just find a mower model that uses the same size bolt on. Remove old wheel and bolt on new rubber wheel.

Is it possible to change the tires out to rubber ones? I have this mower too and hate the plastic wheels. The feel is different.
@Znew07
@Znew07 2 жыл бұрын
Since the wheels are just held on by a bolt, I’m sure you could find a different model type and just take the old ones off and bolt the new ones on. Probably find a wheel that’s a little bit bigger too.

Nice video..real mowing!!!FYI….The smoke on start up is usually the automatic choke being on. When the smoke dissipates the auto choke is off. Hondas for the most part do not burn oil. That’s in my 30+ years of owning them.

Do you recommend this lawn mower or 40v 2 battery Ryobi charging mower for 1000sqft lawns?
@BuiltTough1776
@BuiltTough1776 3 жыл бұрын
It really depends on how much you’ll use the mower. The nice thing about electric is you don’t have to worry about carburetor issues from sitting to long and getting bad gas. If you have a 1,000sqft yard, I would certainly say lean towards the electric route. Checkout the company Ego. They have a wide variety of electric equipment and the performance is phenomenal, almost identical to gas power. We had an electric mower from them that was 4+ years in service and still works strong like when we bought it. We purchased a gas mower for how big the yard is and this one drives itself so it’s nice to just walk with it!

Bro, why would someone put up that wooden fence and alternate which side is showing?? The flat side goes towards the neighbors house generally.... And the house putting up the fence usually gets the inside portion, which shows the middle beams of wood--but ALTERNATING the sections??? 🤭🤣🤣 Looks ridiculous
