I believe the R stands for Rockstar. It's either a parent company or they changed their name from Rockstar to AstrHori. Thank you for the video.

I have this lens for the Z mount and have the same slight grinding issue on the focus ring, otherwise its a solid lens for the price

the f/2 thing might be because its a "cleaner" number and marketing people are weird, or so it shows up easier in search menus

Do you think this is better than the ttartisan 50mm F2f?

Yes I enjoyed this one more despite it being a lesser known company. I should mention that I reviewed this one on APSC and the TTArtisan on full frame, so if this one is used on FF it could have blurry corners like the ttart. Though it’s bigger construction could also mean it’s better optimized for the bigger sensor, which I believe it is.
