yes. it makes an audible click sound when i reach the hard stops on either side of the lens. it does that on the full set of lenses. I've found that to be the case on most cinema lenses with hard stops though. however, i will say this one is a bit louder of a metal on metal sound. i think some other may have a bit more dampening.

Unfortunately you cannot mount mirrorless lenses on any body not built for them. That’s the only bummer about mirrorless mount. Canon EF and PL mount are still the best when it comes to universal use across nearly all camera bodies

Actually, it is not true that you can’t adapt Mirrorless to Mirrorless, it is extremely limited, for example, there is a Megadap adapter that allows you to adapt Sony emount to Nikon Z mount with autofocus, but your mileage may vary. You can’t natively mount any lens DSLR or Mirrorless to any other mount without an adapter. As for Sony emount to Canon RF, I have not seen such an adapter and Canon keeps a close watch on the RF mount on who can do what, when, where and how. When it comes to DSLRs to Mirrorless there are tons of adapters and the most popular one is the Sigma MC-11, that allows you to go from Canon Ef mount to Sony emount with autofocus. Chadwin is correct about PL mount and EF being more widely used and compatible with a ton of cinema cameras. If You are buying cinema glass now, the most compatible mount is PL, because you are manually focusing anyway or with focus assist and there is a PL mount, (due to Ef mount officially being dead, no more advancements from Canon) adapter for darn near every camera system.
