So I watched this video and bought the equipment but my camera was never able to actually shoot or record would you know why that is?

i would keep the focus motor and use it to control zoom. no way am i gonna use my hand to rotate the lens while filming

The Canon RF 70-200 f/4 is excellent for handheld shooting sports with the RS 3 Mini. Just saying.

HI Chadwin: Unrelated question. is there a way to make the original nuclues nano ( version 1) with the original handgrip less responsive when pulling focus? I have to make micro adjustments when focusing because it goes too fast for my taste. Its too responsive. ( Using a Fujinon Cinema zoom lens not photo lenses )

Yall tripping if you know how to actually use a gimbal correctly the rs 3 mini is perfect. Smooth as can be and I can take it every where. I definitely recommend.

Nice video covering a lot of topics and situations! I personally am always trying to make things as light as I can and without having to change gear setups mid-shoot. I feel like the slider is a bit much for specifically weddings, but I've seen other people recommend them. I really miss using a sturdy handheld rig, but ive been using an S5 mark ii and the ibis stalization is amazing. Its perfect with a 24-70 and super basic and quick to keep on your side. Canon R5C on a gimbal mostly 50mm all day but 24-105 for ceremony. The R5C has drawbacks like power supply but I love it so much. Especially for other shoots outside of weddings so I wouldn't trade it. One day I would like to get another camera just for the weddings that is more light weight and convenient to match with the Panasonic.

Agreed. The L-mount is the most flexible option. It's the version I preordered. They also didn't build in NDs because it would have added cost, changed the weight, and added to the time to market timeline. Blackmagic has already said the display on the side is a setup and menu screen. The little 4" screen is not meant for monitoring. Also... ProRes is not an issue. You can export ProRes from Fusion Studio with the Saver node. Your Blackmagic Studio license works with Fusion Studio for free.

RS3 Mini with Briefcase handle on my gimbal. Nimble like Ninja.

Very nice one but I see the problem of recording vertical to horizontal. It's not very convenient while you recording. You have to stop the recording to change the angle. Not convenient to people that they want to record in two angles on go.

Hello Chadwin Smith, like you, I have a Sony a7sIII and Nano II with the handheld. Since my upgrade to 3.01, I can no longer switch the camera to record mode with the handheld. This was before not a problem. All other functions of the handheld are active and are taken over by the camera without to switch in recorde mode. The menu item PC remote is no longer available and I cannot find a setting that would allow me to switch the camera to record mode with the handheld. Do you perhaps have a solution? I prefer a EVF. The Zacuto Kameleon works best for me. When the sun hits that monitor, you can forget focus.

As sarcastic as this is, the best setup for a run and gun event shoot is absolutely a naked FX3 with AF lens and variable ND. Every single element on the rig will slow you down. That said, in studio the more you rig it up the more your clients will believe you're good

False. FX6 does not have longer battery life. It’s the batteries that have life not the cameras. 😅 For anyone new and starting out. Get a v mount or good Mount battery and you’re good. 👍🏽
