You'll have to remember that many of the riffs and stylings from De Mysteriis were inspired and even additionally recorded with Snorre from Thorns; particularly the 'rake' that accompanies many of the attacks in the riffs. NOTE: After reading the illustrious comments of your channel's posting - I see this has been more than addressed by your followers as well as yourself. Hail Mayhem and all Guitar players past and present. Each really added their own sound to the band a rare occurrence when bands swap members usually it’s just copy what the last guy was doing but each really helped define its own era. Cool breakdown.

@@eyesontheinside5776 Thanks. I found that he wrote some of the lyrics and guitar riffs for "From the Dark Past" and "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas". Unfortunately, we can't say what those riffs are

I like heavy bands like : Meshuggah, Slipknot, Infected Rain, but I can't find something heavy in black metal but i can find very dark music. Can you people please recomend something heavy from Mayhem,Immortal and any black metal bands? (Sorry for my english)

Since you also seem to have a knack for Norwegian bm, and learning guitar parts. I figured i'd share the most accurate version of the freezing moon solo i've heard, if you ever do a video on black metal solos kzfaq.infoiW5MNO-BpTc?si=CZGtdPXt_ivX1flz It really shows off Euronymous' weirdness and desire to be original in his work when you evaluate the licks and the choice of notes. Thought you might wanna know since all the tabs everywhere are quite off, including the way blasphemer plays it.

I enjoyed Myhem's music, but (controversially) did not enjoy the vocals. My type are UNDER A FUNERAL MOON vocals and HAVOHEJ: DETHRONE THE SON OF GOD vocals. Maybe I am incorrect. (Possibly). i am an idiot after all.

@@bratislavmusic oh, theres a bunch on DMDS.. listen to the Grymyk tape by Thorns and youll hear them.. "Buried By Time & Dust" is one, "De Mysteriis Dom. Sathanas" is another.. plus he arranged the lyrics for the album...

@@playitstrange129euro played buried live in leipzig with dead before snorre. I think you mean From the Dark Past, which is just a rearrangement of the 2nd riff from Pagan Fears at around 0:23 in the song. Snorre is great tho and contributed more than that without asking for credit (including some lyrics), but as far as I'm concerned, everyone in the band except atilla had a say in all the sound & instrumentation. Euronymous wasn't just full of himself to overcompensate for some of his filler riffs or lack of height (although I'm sure that's part of it). He's also very largely responsible for the many sound changes of the drums and the bass for the few albums from 1990-1993. This is why he was considered the head honcho for a while until people started to realize see through his mask.
