The desert rose, or Adenium obesum, is a strong plant that prefers hot temperatures and dry soil. They do especially well in pots and containers indoors since conditions can be more closely monitored, making them good houseplants. There are many ways to plant desert roses, including starting from seed. You must work with the seeds indoors, though, since they are delicate and blow away with even the slightest breezes

The best method that worked for me is to create a terrarium. You can achieve it simply by covering the pot with a plastic bag upside down. This will keep the moisture and humidity in and the seeds will start germinating.

Hello and thanks for the video! My question is about the fungicide,I can’t find any fungicide like mancozeb here in Germany. What do you recommend to use instead? It says : Due to confirmed health concerns, the European Commission decided today (Monday) to withdraw EU marketing authorization for the fungicide Mancozeb.

Don't use red soil.. Just use light weight media which is very easy to start germination, you can also use cocopeat. For best result.

@@elizabethbowan909 Take a calculated risk. All the seeds will not die. Nature does not have fungicides or pesticides but still plants survive. Use cocopeat to begin with and then take saplings to the cocopeat and soil mixture.

We are using Fungiside for extra precaution becz.. Mostly the seeds or plants which we grow are from another native. So pets and insect attract on it and damage the plant. By using Fungicide we will we will give them extra protection to fight against these Problems..

you can not use baking soda in this circumstance. baking soda is sodium bicarbonate. The salt in this will definitely kill or seriously decrease germination of the seeds!

You can transfer in another pot when it will grow 4 true leaves, 4 to 6 inch pot is best for 1st time reporting, In 18 month or 2 year.. It will starts flowering. Thanks for the Comment..

No, if you water it daily it will start rotting just spray little water if need. Adenium don't love water.

Adenium is a summer growing plant.. Keep your plant in full sun. And flowering of plants depends on lots of other factors like - Age of plant, Branch in Plant, Your pot media. And few other things.. i planted Thai Soco seeds ... after 14 days ... they are about 2 inches tall. I notice the stems and baby leaves are all yellow. Is this correct? I'm concerned I'm making some mistake with the watering, etc and all the seedling will die.

hii...whats your climate there... Baby adenium likes sun & Humidity . and excess water can rot the Roots..Plzz apply Fungiside in water in very 15 days... keep soil moist and don't over water...

Plant and Aquarium Hobby with SIDDHARTH it is now Summer here in South Africa ... average temp is about 28c. For the first 20 days, after planting seeds, I keep them in a plastic pot with another plastic pot on top ... for darkness. So they are currently kept in darkness ... I only open the pot every 3 days to water. Then close the pot immediately. After 20 days I will open the top pot for about 2 to 3 hours for seedlings to receive light (not sun). Gradually I will give them more light ... then start to give them some sunlight. So currently seedlings are still kept in total darkness.

There may be some problem in Roots..Just apply some fungiside in water and sprey on plant and in soil also.. and keep them in shemi shade..and don't over water they will be ok...

Don't water too much.. Otherwise it will rot. Wait for few days. If they starts growing.. The leaves will come..

मैंने सीड्स sand मे grow किया , germination भी अच्छा हुआ , लेकिन germination के बाद growth एकदम slow हो गया और 80% seeds धीरे धीरे सुख गए। यही प्रॉब्लम हमारे साथ हर बार हो रही है, कृपया इसका solution बताये।

Iske bohot sare reasons ho sakte h.. Jaise 1- over water jisse roots gal jate h.. Aur plant stay nhi kr pata, 2- km pani dene se v plant dehydrate jo jata h.. Aur dhere dhere sikudne aur sookhne lgta h.. Ap 15 days me fungiside water roots me apply kigye.. Aur soil ko moist rakhe. Overwatering naa kre..
