Mini Lobster Roll Recipe
Ingredients:
- 12 King's Hawaiian Rolls
- 1 lb (450g) cooked lobster meat, roughly chopped
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 2 tablespoons chives, finely chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Prep the Lobster Meat
Ensure your lobster meat is cooked and roughly chopped into bite-sized pieces. If using frozen lobster meat, thaw it completely before chopping.
2. Season the Butter
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.
3. Brush and Toast the Rolls
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Slice a square within the top of each of the King's Hawaiian Rolls and pull out the bread filling. Do this without separating them from each other. Making them easier to handle.
Generously brush the inside and outside of the rolls with about a 1/4 of the seasoned butter mixture.
Place the rolls on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 3-5 minutes, or until they are lightly golden and crisp.
4. Assemble the Lobster Rolls
Take the toasted rolls out of the oven. If the rolls have been separated, ensure they are slightly cooled before handling.
Sauté the lobster in some of the butter until heated up. Then, spoon the chopped lobster meat generously into the holes on top of the toasted rolls. Aim for an even distribution among the rolls.
5. Final Touch
Drizzle the remaining seasoned butter over the lobster-filled rolls. Sprinkle the finely chopped chives over the top for a fresh, herby finish.
6. Serve Immediately
These mini lobster rolls are best enjoyed immediately while the rolls are still warm and the butter is melted, enveloping the lobster meat in a flavorful, aromatic sauce.
