Edit: Spoilers for (I think) season 2 And then Artemis 'dies' and he says 'we'll laugh about this someday' as he looks at the photograph and for 10 seconds it's raining tears, after which it feels more depressing and heavy, as they've been lying to those closest to them

I feel like because season one didn't have that many characters like in the later seasons they're able to showcase all the characters almost perfectly and give them great character development whereas in the later seasons fans couldn't really connect with newer characters because they don't have enough screen time and have almost zero backstory

Season One Robin is Dick Grayson, he changes to Nightwing in season 2, since he passed the Robin mantle to Jason Todd in 2013 Jason Todd died sometime between 2013-2015 during the time skip between season 1 and 2. Tim Drake is Robin in season 2 and 3 taking over after the death of Jason Todd becoming Robin around 2015 and is the current Young Justice Robin.

Season 1 was easily the best, a small group with every episode focusing on what it meant to be a 'sidekick'. Season 2 lost that with a large alien invasion. Haven't been able to watch all of season 3 but from what I did watch it started to turn into a dc super hero show which is still cool but doesn't have the same emotional journeys.

Season 1 just perfect. The characters personalities where all perfect. The relationships and chemistry perfect. One of my favorite things was how they went on missions. Always see superheors fighting villains and saving people but almost never the scoping out, covert opps side. Also that one episode when robin and Artemis were alone against the androids you could really feel Artemis' fear. I mean how would you react when you go from street level thugs to super powered killing machines. Robin was calm and collected because Batman trained him to be they fight people out their league all the time. Man I know I'm rambling but its just rare to see a show be so accurate to its source material.

I’m impressed by this show mainly bc it’s hard to write such a large variety of characters without it getting chaotic but the writers really nailed making everyone feel relevant

I remember properly watching season 1 and just thinking it was incredible. From start to finish it was solid. The characters dynamics were fantastic. Then I started season 2 and I was so confused. The team members had been doubled without proper introduction, there was drama between Conner and Megan that we saw NOTHING about just told. Then all the Aqualad betrayal plot and- Why, just why skip over so much plot points.

for me, i ship different versions of characters depending on which continuity they're in personally, robin and batgirl will always be my otp, but, in the case of teen titans, robin and starfire, and in the case of young justice, i feel nightwing and zatanna have way more cute moments together than he ever did with oracle in season 3

The whole point of Young Justice was a team that worked undercover but wasn't afraid to get wild at times. They lost touch of this in Season 3

In these series we can all appreciate the style of writing of Peter David, for all people appreciate this kind of characters i suggest to buy the two X-Factor written by him. I am a huge fan of DCAU, i'm grown up with the stories of Paul Dini, Bruce Timm and Dwayne. But when a fresh product like Young Justice shows up i can understand the terrific quality and appreciate the series of course.

Isn’t it sad that season one has better animation than season 3. I get that it’s been a few years since the show has been on, but like man. You’d expect there to be some improvements.

I don’t understand this complaint. I’ve watched this show so many times and season 3 and 4’s visuals impress me so much more than 1 and 2. The first two were so dark and there were so many shadows on the characters

@@Oklines That’s actually a positive though. The overall atmosphere and visual lighting for the first two seasons feel much more real than the new ones. Fight scenes in the first two seasons look like something straight out of a DC animated movie or even just an animated movie in general. Even the smallest things like facial expressions or character movements feel smoother and detailed.

@@Oklines To be entirely fair, it’s been two years since I’ve made this comment, and I’ve come to learn a few things about these new seasons productions. Like the tight budget they’re on, so they can’t really flex like they used to. It’s not an excuse, but it is understandable.

I miss when Young Justice was like THIS during season 1! It was the most wholesome, especially when Wally was still around being the humor of the team. And now without him they've been less humorous, unless he comes back somehow

I want like a prequel show/movie for season 2 like how Tula/Aqua girl got killed and how ocean master got kicked out of the light so we can have more of the original team. Also hardly anyone played the videogame so it would be great to keep everyone in the loop
