The amount of quality overtakes Pecco makes. I remember him going around the outside of Bez into Copse at Sliverstone last year, i didn't even know you could do that lmao.

The GP 23 is already good enough but what puts it into perspective is Ducati understands what works and what doesn't work so much better. They already updated and dialed in the GP24 (which was not better than the GP23 in the beginning) . . . . where Honda and Yamaha are still just making random parts (the shotgun approach). . . . making them prettier (by committee) . . . . and hoping for the best. They might never catch back up if everything remains the same. Ducati gives MM93, arguably one of the most gifted riders of all time, GOOD rider advice on how to ride their bike (and it works!). Honda and Yamaha look to the rider talent, who may understand feel, but not the mechanics behind it. Something very important is getting lost in the communication, or is simply not understood yet, they are lost because somethings that may actually work are being cancelled out by bad ideas that don't work.. When the new rules came out, I said, "that's when the playing field will be even again." But now I'm not so sure. This started as a budget issue. Vinales getting the boot from Yamaha was the tip of the iceberg, but its more than money at this point. We'll have to see how it plays out under the new rules. But right now we are in the Ducati era and they deserve every bit of their success because it was 100% self made, their design to the current rules. From almost un-ridable during the Nicky Hayden and Rossi years, with steady refinement to the dominance of today's Bike. I know they wont do it but it would be fascinating to see that progression.

@@smoke05s fantastic response. I grew up watching Honda dominate with Doohan, Then Rossi and a bit of Hayden and a few other riders and obviously the great Marquez . I'm a die hard Honda fan and its sad for me to see how the Japanese manufacturers have lost touch and almost ending Marquez career. I hope the future will be a podium of mixed manufacturers

@@fijie4907 I'm not gonna argue that he hasn't had his share of crashes, but he is consistently fast. I'm not going to go back through every race for the last 2 yrs, but when I think of Bastianini, I think of someone that usually is fighting for position early in the race, gets bumped out of position, gets thrown off line and crashes out trying to come back to the front. He's consistent enough for 4th in points, but definitely needs to finish more often and avoid skirmishes.

So is Pecco he’s frequently shredding holeshots, dropping the hammer and blasting the field with his exhaust. The three championships and 32 GP wins are no fluke. With ice water for blood he is destined for greatness. Francisco is something special just like his mentor, he is clinical, stoic and clean on his overtakes.
