Best Mouse Trap Bottle - Trap Rat Trap Homemade - DIY Mouse Trap
This is a humane mouse trap. You can catch rats/mice and release them without causing any pain.
We know that mice do a lot of damage to our home. Especially, they spread disease among us. That is why it is so important to keep our house mouse-free.
It is not my intention to physically suffer animals. My main purpose is to keep the house free of harmful mice, mouse, and rats. And mice are not being hurt intentionally by this mouse trap here.
There are many types of mouse trap available in the market which is a bit expensive. So I have shown here how to make a low-cost DIY mouse trap at home and how to use it to keep the house mouse-free.
I am definitely against killing. I advise releasing them in a forest far away from home after catching the mice.
I hope that by watching this video of mine, you can easily make a rat trap at home. And I think the video will be very helpful to you.

По такой идее мышеловку видел лет 40 назад. Та мышеловка лучше этого тем, что та автоматически возобновляется к готовности сразу же после того мышка проваливается в ведро. Ставили в кладовке, отдельное строение от избы. К утру бывало в ведре десяток мышей. Никакого магнита как здесь не надо, там просто опрокидывающийся мостик вместо бутылки с центром тяжести со стороны подмостки, а в другом конце на ниточке весит приманка. Мышка по мостику идет к приманке, центр тяжести переходит в другую сторону мостика, мостик опрокидывается, мышка полетела в ведро, без мышки мостик возвращается в исходное положение.

Very ingenious but I personally prefer the spring-loaded snap traps. They go SNAP in the middle of the night and hearing that SNAP brings great satisfaction that another one bites the dust. Only thing that's better is hearing the SNAP and hearing their squeaks and the little pitta patta as they try to run away with the mouse trap.

I built one similar to this one except instead of using a magnet latch to hold the bottle horizontally I put paper clips or ball bearings inside the nose of the bottle as a counter weight to hold the bottle horizontally. When the mouse goes in too far the weights fall with the mouse leaving the bottle upright...the same way!

A small piece of raw Bacon fat for bait. They love it and the smell will draw them in like flies.

Ingenious design.. but IMHO not the "best" design. With this design a mouse can inactivate the trap simply by walking on the top of the bottle and it's worthless until someone resets it. Other tipping designs (like the "see saw" designs) cannot be accidentally tripped and put out of commission without actually catching a mouse. And they're easier to build to boot.

Cut the bottom of the bottle out and put a spring on it so the mouse drops into a bucket and it resets.

Not really humane if you release them far away from where they're caught, as they'll always try to get back to where they lived, they don't relocate, and they won't eat or drink in that time.. They die of hunger/thirst because all they'll do is try to find their way 'home'.

The only problem you have is you don't have enough holes in the bottom if you would poke some small holes in the sides of the bottle the smell of the bait would come out the end better and draw the mice into the bottle.

Bad idea... putting any holes in the bottle gives the mouse something to get purchase with their teeth to gnaw a larger hole... been there, done that. Learned the hard way.

the bottle will also need to be moved everyday as mice will not check it twice. But 2" away they think is a new hole

Обычная мышеловка полтора евро стоит. Куил 3 штуки, заправил сыром и 3 мыши за раз. Если их есть так много. Если больше, взвёл ешё раз с тем-же сыром, и ещё 3 за раз. В вот эта заморочка, и работа лишняя и малоэффективно. Ну не хочет она туда лезть!

Big mice can't enter it at all. If you catch the small ones. the big ones will produce more.

Mice and especially rats are very intelligent, so You'd hide the bottle with the animal inside. Otherwise they learn the danger of this trap

Releasing mice is not a great idea . A far superior simple trap is a long necked wine bottle with the bait ,peanut butter on the cork. Then tape the wine bottle to a piece of wood for support , and attach wood to a table, bench or similar . Then place a bucket of water under the bottle neck, just to break the fall . Gravity works every time.

Releasing a single mouse in completely unfamiliar surroundings is a slow death sentence, much crueler than a quick death from an electric trap. Well meaning, but uninformed people make the worst decisions for the best reasons.

Meh... I don't buy it. They came into my house... that had to be "completely unfamiliar surroundings" at one point... yet those first "explorers" prospered and multiplied. Shawn Woods releases all the native mice he catches back into the wild.

The mice can simply chew through the bottle itself to get out. The engineering is nice but the bottle only works short term. This is something to use if you have a way to know the trap has sprung and can get to it right away.
