Surprised Cryptworm was in the "bigger bands" list, never see them talked about, so a spotlight would have been cool. But their last album was amazing, so very much looking forward to that one. A REALLY good black metal album that came out at the beginning of the month was RüYYn - Chapter II: The Flames, the Fallen, the Fury. Other black metal December releases I plan to check out are Troll - Trolldom & Úlfarr - Orlegsceaft.

Biggest release this month is the callab of full of hell and nothin. It captures the vibe of both bands perfectly and creates this super heavy sludgy take on shoegaze. Nothing brings there dreamy haze state and full of hell brining there noise influences as well.

I am in a bit of a death doom mood lately so Phobocosm seems up my alley, and I just saw it's reviewed on AMG, as well as a new Slow record. I dug the last one... Off to sample me some! I also had Ringire on my wishlist thanks to following Avantgarde. Kinda digging it as well. I also spent so much this last Bandcamp Friday already. Sigh

Blayne, the "ø" is pronounced like "u" in f*ck and s*ck and duck. :) Fjøsmetall actually means barn metal. haha

"ö" is pronounced the same as "ø". :) "ä" is pronounced the same "'æ", and "æ" is pronounced like "a" in ash. Yeah, English has the same sounds, just use less letters to differentiate (issue with English tbh). The "djävulsklockans" is a composed noun. In English you usually add a space between two nouns that really just make up one object, like "support desk". It's two nouns that is really just one object. In Nordic you usually just compose/combine them into one then. "supportdesk". This happens sometimes in English too, but only when the two nouns are used enough times over a long enough period etc. What does the "djävulsklockans" mean? Well, it's "djævul" = devil, but it's also possessiv form (devil's). "klocka" = "clock". devil's clock (notice no "the"). It also ends with "ns", again, possessiv form. devil's clock's. "urklang", again, composed noun. "ur" = "old"/"ancient"/"proto", "klang" = "chime" (think the sound "clang" lol, same origin). Hinsides has a couple of meanings, but it's basically "beyond", but really refers to beyond death, or from the other side, from life after death. "hörs" = hears Yeah, I bet you could actually read this if you gave it some though, except for "hinsides" I guess. Hinsides hörs djävulsklockans urklang. Beyond death hears devil's clock's old clang. From beyond death you can hear a devil clock's ancient ticks.
