All the best action from Birmingham Wheels Raceway that we covered in 2019, including some from the Gala Night that was tragically cut short with the death of Colin North and never uploaded. Sadly we've also lost Champion of Champions and New Years day race meetings after the recent a sudden shock of impending closure after some really dodgy moves by Birmingham Council, which may also mean this could be the last ever video of Birmingham Wheels Raceway that we make, which would be a truly shocking loss and leave UK Oval racing on it's knees.

So after a 6 month back and forth process with promoters and council alike, Birmingham Wheels will RETURN under new ownership. It's quite rare that UK oval circuits come back from closure, so when racing returns get your arses to this venue and support the hell out of it!

Plot Twist number 30480 We've been banned from filming there for some bullshit reasons. After we promoted this track, got signatures on its petition and protested in person for its future So now there will be no Wheels videos, or any oval racing videos at ORCi venues. For good.

Some variety of classes there, never seen some of those race cars! Must be an interesting watch, shame if the venue goes under...

It pretty much stops us from being able to watch it regularly if it does. And the formula's themselves are all dirt cheap forms of racing that Motorsport can't afford to lose. It's practically the hub for the i-Factor package, and there must be 300 drivers alone in that on an average day

The barrier fittings around that track were bolted on in the spring of 1997, by Mike, Cliff, Johnny and me. All remembered with fondness.

Just signed. Seems like motor racing wants to be abolished. Every year a track goes and land is bought or sold to some scumbag who doesn't care what the - negative impact it has. Well said on the Petition btw 👍.

Supposedly Birmingham City Council have to provide an alternative venue for all the businesses on the site, which should be interesting to see them produce in the single month every business has to vacate the land. If you have to sue yourself you know there's some serious dodgyness going on

So as much as I'm not a fan of this style of racing, the place is always filled with a large crowd in these videos. This means money in the local economy, and also something for people to do. I hope you guys resolve this

Such a shame that we're potentially going to lose this. Gone from 7 tracks within 80 mile down to 3.

Same for me really, being midlands based all we'll have left is Hendesford, which lets be honest, they'll go for next. Buxton seems safe but it's a bit far from me, and the sport can't keep losing any more.

I'm Midlands too, round Dudley. Buxton, Hednesford and Northampton and that's about it now. It's my lad I feel for, 3 years old and already so passionate about stock car racing and going to be left with no where to go.

@@qnely Forgot about Brafield, but that's apparently been ruined by the dirt and isn't too good to film at. That's another issue, half the sport itself is junior formulas for kids and this is the equivalent to shutting down their schools

@@paulforsyth8637 Have done twice now, but for Autograss racing. Deffinetely one of the best, but that's cos money has actually been spent on it, and it's in a fairly safe area. These inner city tracks are all ticking time bombs

So, that's it, then. This time, it really IS the end. All debate irrelevant.... If you're in and around Brum from now on, the only racing you'll see will be on a public highway near you. Good luck crossing the road especially at night. If you're run over, blame the council..... RIP Wheels. Thanks for the memories....

Thank you for your support. The group is apparently a little more optimistic over it's future currently, but they say they need more signatures for sure, so it'll certainly help
