Sorry I've only just got around to viewing Simon, have been rather busy this past week. Just what I needed while enjoying Victoria sponge and tea. That MG RV8 is identical to the one I saw in Sunday, The best and whistles MGB for the 90's. That Hilman is mighty impressive and that fuel filler is a nice touch though I doubt that for safety reasons we will ever see that on a new car. Remarkable how many Gordon Keeble remain of the original production run. A very elegant car, as is that E type. The XK120 is beautiful with its flowing lines and enclosed rear wheels. I really like that Elan S2 and a colour I've not previously seen. Much like the Fiat Barchetta they are often discounted as a sports car due to being front wheel drive but supposedly they still do drive well. The River P5B remains one of my all time favourite classics. Just think of Vulcan crews hurtling diem the runway in that Vanguard in readiness of the four minutes warning. A former work colleague used to have a Scimitar GTC. The sabre six has elements of both Spitfire and Sun beam alpine. The blue one looks a totally different car with that different front end. The Vixen looks like an exciting classic with an interesting history. I actually liked the look of the Griffith 500 back in there day and they were probably the model.that opened my eyes to the brand. It's as easy to mix up the S type with the MK2 as it is the 420G with the mk10. The green MK1 Capri's look near identical to one that turns up at a lot of local shows up here. That MK1 Elise looks fabulous in that colour. I don't think.there is anything more 70's than a Bond Bug. I do love an R8, especially pre facelift though I think.those may be later R8 alloys. Looks like a very tidy car. That coach build MGN is beautiful, the streamlined seamless body in that paint looks every bit the premium coach built car as any Aston Zagato would. The MGC was criticised for heavy steering with its heavier engine, apparently press cars went out with under inflated tyres which made the problem.woese and sadly cemented the cars reputation. Sadly there wasn't any MG YB at the event I attended but I did get the see an MG VA and Magnette. As you say it's easy to forget that MG also produced saloon cars back then. The TF version of the T series did look more streamlined than earlier incarnations but the MGA must have looked thpuroughly modern by comparison at launch. I saw both the roadster and coupe versions last weekend.

Thank you for this, only problem...was too short. Just loved seeing the cars and the effort people (& yourself) went to, to show their cars. The Belgian MG blew my mind, there was I thinking I was a petrol head and I didn't even know of these cars. Not a big MG fan but felt in all my years I would have come across one or known. I just need to get out more now to these events but time is my enemy. Loved the variation in TVR's too. The 400SE was my dream car, I nearly bought a TVR Tasmin back in the 80's which had the Ford V6 (Capri) engine. I am going to watch again later with a nice pot of tea and once again marvel, drool and dream of the cars there at Brooklands, just brilliant.
